Solid effort and a well deserved victory by the Flames. Wish they'd play like that more often.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Only if he produces at 1.20 PPG.

JG is in on like 55% of the teams goals, more than McDavid on the Oilers goals

he has been our best skater by a country mile...people that don't think so are just trying to be contrary

Difference for me was that they were aggressive with the forecheck and didn't hang back like they have in previous games. We were on the Caps defence quickly forcing turnovers and quick passes. It's as if they found their confidence.

I have a nephew in Belleville, Ont (Flames fan too) that looks exactly like a small Micheal Ferland, so he holds a special place in my heart. I'm always very happy when Ferly does well.

As you obviously ignored my other post in the thread saying it was a complete 60 minutes of hockey and a solid overall game

So you think our power play is good?

Thought Ferland was fantastic.

Seemed like he stole the puck back from the Caps all by himself about 10 times.

-versteeg had a better game
-brouwer had a better game
-lazar had jump and I thought looked decent
-we drove the play to the middle of the ice more, nice to see
-kulak looked good
-janko looked good
-benett was polarizing, a nice power cycle move followed by a soft play or poor decision. However that line looked decent
-ferland good, top line clicking well tonight

Even Cassie had a good game, better commentary, briefer.

Overall glad we won this one. After the linesman-skate goal I was prepping for more heart break.

(And the usual stars being awesome)

The Flames forced turnovers and moved up the ice quickly. They didn't give the caps time or space.
