Vegas waives Griffin Reinhart
Lots of speculation that the Oilers might claim him back.

no thanks. His skating is poor and will prevent him from ever becoming a full-time NHLer.

He's better than Bartkowski.
Basically he's awful.

I don't think he is. Neither of them seem to think the game at the NHL level, but atleast Bartkowski has the skating ability to recover from some of his mistakes.
Hope the Oilers claim him back.

Still can't believe how much the Oiler's paid in that trade. The guy is pretty well never going to be an NHLer

The day the Oilers made this trade was the day I knew everything was going to be okay.

The only reason he even stays up in the NHL and plays a few games is because of his deaf position. If he was drafted even 10 picks later, he wouldn’t be seeing much action, not that he is right now anyways

When I've watched him when Stockton played Bakersfield last year I thought he was actually pretty decent. I bet if you asked GG, he'd prefer Reinhart to Kulak but I would stick with Kulak.

He's not good enough to make the roster of an expansion team. The Oilers may pick him up to save a little face but he's not helping any team.

He's not good enough to make the roster of the team with the best points percentage in the NHL either.
And I agree with others... I don't like Bartkowski, but I don't see Reinhart as an upgrade. Waste of time adding yet another 8-9 D to the mix.

He can look decent in the A because things happen slower and he can manage the gaps. But it is abundantly clear at this point that he cannot handle the speed of the NHL, his skating is just too poor.
He is absolutely not better than Bartkowski.

You frame that as if Bartkowski can manage the gaps because of his skating - which isn't true. I agree that Bartkowski is a much better skater than Griffin Reinhart. I think Griffin Reinhart makes better reads without the puck and better plays with the puck than Bartkowski, which I consider more important. I think neither is even close to an NHLer so none of that really matters at the end of the day... it's basically the difference between Rico Fata and Greg Nemisz.

Now that is a discussion worthy of it's own thread!

have to keep him on your NHL team if you claim him. Would have to pass waivers to get him down.

if he hasnt improved his skating by now, he never will. not sure why a big, soft slow guy was drafted that high in the first place.
