That was classic! I love when somebody had it in their signature and he was confused and was shown the thread and was completely lost.

I wonder if anybody still has the link to that thread, or did it vanish with the rest of the old board?

So many good memories already listed here.

As stated above, the first ever CP jihad against St Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jeff Gordon was hilarious, after he hated on the Flames and said the team should move. We all wrote nasty e-mails and went to their message board and signed up under goofy handles (mine was i_like_ice_hockey) and caused a ruckus.

Back in the olden days the chatroom was used daily. Those were great times. I remember going in there at like 2am one morning and there were 20 people in there.

That time we carpetbombed the Fan960's Joe and Kevin Show with angry emails demanding online audio streaming of pre and post-game shows.

Had 'em flummoxed live on air.

Long Live FlamesNation Worldwide Underground! Viva Willi Plett!

Heh, That was classic! The group also had that image someone created!

The guy who used to always post here and his double identity thing rings a bell, gerry cheevers?

Jordons had some classics! A few of the cooler ones were great

educated - but he was my buddy, so I got personal enjoyment from those

Mr. Peddle has had some great ones

the current how young thread is pretty good

the savardgate ones were awful "Branch Savardians" hahahahaha

the chatroom during the 04 run was great.. holy I chewed a lot of tobacco during that run..

Calling overtime during those chat sessions..

ah.. memories..

Are you referring to when Gerry Cheevers (now Cheese) first started posting and CP, who actually knew the real Gerry Cheevers, called him out on something? I forget the precise circumstances, that was a while ago.

hahaha, all this talk of old threads makes me laugh like you wouldn't beleive.

Neeper's "Paint Calander" from last year.

The KG thread was hilarious.

THe Dion thread, Shergill's meltdown, Jordan's good bye threads (x3), the snot boy story.

Those are all I can think of now.

remeber DJ Rice a couple years ago? he was in Calgary for the stampede and posted new threads like every 30 mins of what to do in this city! For some reason that guy sticks in my memory.

One of my favorite moments is hours before game one vs the Canucks in 2004, you post the Presidents speech from the movie Independence Day in the game thread. I Pm'ed you asking if you really like that movie and you cracked up saying you hoped no one would recognize it.

Zidlicky thread.
The Medvedev comes to Calgary thread.
Almost every thread started by Reggie last offseason regarding the state of the Oil.
Off topic forum has had it's fair share of dust-ups. The Farenheit 9-11 thread probably being one of them.

JohnnyBlues. Lanny was "Red Berenson" I think Reggie was some former Blues player.

transplant99 was Red Berenson in the GordoBoard caper, Lanny was Bernie Federko. I was Plager Brother.

Aaron in SJ was, naturally, Aaron in Worchester.

Cowperson was WayneBabych. Yes, even Cowperson was in on the shenanigans.

What was hilarious was the regular posters saying these new Blues fans are the biggest homers of all time --Dang I wish we had preserved that for the Calpuck archives!!!--I'd love to read it again.
