Default Bieksa KO's Gudas with a Superman punch

I hate Bieksa as much as anyone but that was a pretty sweet shot

Just once I would like to punch someone in the face like that.

They would have to deserve it and I wouldn't want them to suffer any long-term damage, but it must feel awesome.

That's actually Bieksa's MO. Gudas didn't do his homework.

Gudas is a massive cheap-shot artist himself, so I'm ok with this.

2 things about that sequence totally shocked me

1) Bieska went with someone in/above his weight class

2) He actually squared off

Not really a KO. Knock down but not a knock out.

I hope Bieksa broke his hand. Still the biggest dirtbag in the league.

Legs don't give out because of impact. He was temporarily out, or extremely stunned.

The problem with that lunge punch, is if someone has scouted you out, you don't wake up until the martians decide to wake you up after conquering the planet earth.

I was a fight at a bar in Miami a few years back where one kid decided to use the superman punch and the other kid saw it coming, side stepped it and hit him with an upper cut that started at his shoes and ended up at the ceiling.

Quite literally, a "Shoryuken". Impressive.

Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle noted the injury is not to Bieksa's right hand, in light of his fight with Radko Gudas of the Philadelphia Flyers. Bieksa knocked Gudas to the ice with a highlight reel punch with his right hand.
Well, you tried.
