It is bad coaching yes, but GG isn’t telling this team to take stupid penalties in the neutral zone on an icing, or telling them to NOT clear the puck after winning the face off on the PK twice, or telling them to NOT complete a 2 foot pass, or presumably telling them to ignore the slot and stare aimlessly into the crowd, or to lose every single puck battle.
This Flames team has no confidence, no heart and no finish. They play like they don’t give a crap, and get dominated easily. Before the end of November, they will yet again be far out of the playoff hunt and will need another miraculous run to even have hope.
They never learn the simple lessons and continue to repeat the same mistakes, night after night, season after season.

Its been bad. Now GG is in the players heads about not taking penalties. They are playing like they are scared to take a penalty because it means they will be demoted or benched. Not good. There is no doubt the Flames have been held to a different standard than the other teams most games this season as well. Players can do whatever they want to Tkachuk this season so far and no call.

Enough already! You have had your say about the head coach in this thread. No need to repeat it over and over. There is a game going on that still has two periods left.

It's weird that I can see how enraged you are simply through how bad your typing is.
Time for a valium dude. It's just hockey.

I know a team some of these people should follow.

Lulz.
He made th playoffs and then what? Got swept may as well not had made it.
These bad habits are because gg sucks at his job and can’t push a message through. His interview? All talk. Just yesterday he said Bennet being a centre cannot be argued since they made the playoffs; I’m sorry the guys an idiot.

The only positive things about the Flames losing is reading the GT and PGT. Always a delightful trainwreck of panic, hyperbole, and vitriol.

It just seems like Brodie is a superstar on RD and average on LD. I guess philosophically at what point do you work with what you have instead of forcing it for more than a year with poor results?

Our defense is supposed to be this teams strength it's not. If that doesn't change one of the Dmen need to go for more scoring. Just saying...

Flames. Predators. Janko Unchained.
Wow the Flames look like hot garbage. Sloppy passes, dumb penalties, slow feet...Brody is an absolute giveaway machine, and why he continues to be the point man on the power play I’ll never understand, move on already Gully.
Speaking of things I’ll never understand, what the hell is Matt Stajan doing on a professional hockey team? That guy’s best before date came and went a good 7 years ago. That was possibly the dumbest penalty I’ve ever seen somebody take, especially down a goal, ESPECIALLY when they’ve iced the puck! But hey, run him out there the next shift Gully, that’ll teach him.
At what point do these guys remove their heads from their rear ends and start playing? If not for Smith this might be a 1 win team. Wake the ## up already.

Brodie has 8 points in 8 games so far this year. Seems to me he looks more like a superstar on LD now that he has a halfway decent partner.

I would say this is most definitely the worst thing. I think people are forgetting how bad we were to start last season. I'm so frustrated watching this right now but I have faith they will figure it out..hopefully
