There was a thread that posted a link to an article to an extreme right-wing writer talking about hockey. I don't remember exactly the content of the article (maybe someone else who remembers can remind me), but a bunch of posters emailed him. He emailed back hurling insults at everyone telling them that Canadians were lucky the United States didn't decided to take over Canada and telling people they be better of as a bar of soap.
Edit:
Yes! I found the thread (by searching "bar of soap")

Mudcrutch setting the record for the 3 most ridiculous player evaluations in one thread....
(Paraphrased)
"Phaneuf is currently 80 -100 among NHL D."
"Horcoff is a top 10 C in the NHL, IMO.
"Hamrlik is an overpaid 5th D."
His Conklin- Brodeur comparison was another beauty ....another thread.

One of my favourite moments was in the circumcision thread when J pold admitted he was 19 years old and was not sure if he was circumsized or not... and then afterwards i showed that thread to all of our friends and hilarity persued.

Speaking of St. Loo what was that dufus we went on JIHAD against. That was so funny with all of us on the messageboard using old Blues names. I'm trying hard to remember what I called myself. We had those guys going!!!!

There's also proof in that thread that I disliked Warrener dating back to July 10th, 2005.
Which was after the lockout and our 2004 run.

I dunno, to sum it up:
-Regehr sucked back then, it was before he and Sutter had their first contract negotiation, meeting
-It was a proposal of Brendan Morrow for Regehr, i'd quite possibly still make that deal today
-I complained that he never takes slap shots, and still doesn't

Having the chat room up and going after the 2004 playoffs games was alot of fun. There were usually 20-30 people in there at peak times and everyone was in a good mood.
Heckle's are always fun. Everyone meeting at Players Pub before the 04 run was great too. Remember shoeking and that waitress? BlackArcher having his hat ruined with all our signatures. Good times. Icarus and I buggin Rob Kerr and Roger Millions at Schanks after one of the games was great. "LETS GO ROB KERR CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!". A bouncer guy actually threatened to kick me out.
Oh, that photoshop KG thread was pretty funny too.

Too many to mention..a couple:
A couple years back, a bunch of us had Lanny convinced, after a few weeks away from the board, that Willi Plett was coming out of retirement.
The 15 page (4x as long as any other thread in those days) thread regarding the treatment a pile of Flames fans got from Northlands security and the EPS back in March 2002 was farily memorable too..just after I started here.
Cowperson with a rare negative comment about a player...in this case Donovan, who suddenly went on to light it up for the next couple weeks in 03/04.

-My formal welcome to CP was probably in the Frappr map thread. That got weird quickly. Ended with Kevanguy posting a "pinup calendar" pic of himself. I believe that thread was deleted though
-Misskat has also provided some interesting moments. Her spending thread and the time she was banned after blowing up in the gamethread, I think.
-Jim's meltdown was good stuff.
-Polly peena's posts.
But like I said earlier, it's typically the threads that are about people doing nice things that I remember: the Jiri Fischer thread, the thread where people got Mike Oxlong his dream wedding... that stuff is good.
