The wizard Tre will figure it out! Even though most of the good things on this roster are from Feaster. If we keep calling him a wizard maybe his moves will look better and we will feel better about ourselves.
Versteeg is a small weak pp specialist. We really can't bring in some size?
Stajan is the best human being on the team but come on he's past his prime and should be the 12th/13th forward not taking key draws and killing so many penalties.
Brouwer.
Glass is just useless outside of going out of position for a big hit.

Should force players to read comments about play on CP after loss. Like 'mean tweets', only meaner.

Bennett was horrible tonight. Methinks it's time for a benching.

Yeah and in total fairness I didn't get to watch all the game because Shaw blows. Feel like I know exactly what went on still haha.
But basically I'm not so sure about that. Sometimes it works I suppose, yes. But really if the game is boring as hell to watch, it's probably boring as hell to play, and to me that's a system thing.
Hartley's system was fun to watch, but defensively was a disaster. Still this one seems like a disaster defensively albeit slightly less of one, but now there's like zero offense.

As an outsider that top 6 looks great. Bottom 6 looks like trash.

Canes took it to the Flames big time. Just a relentless team. Fast and hard on the puck. Was actually fun to watch them, reminded of the Flames from a few years ago.

The Flames seem to either play an entertaining fast-passing game or a frustrating disconnected perimeter game. I love watching them when the passing is all clicking, but when it's not there's little pleasure in watching their game. As a fan who watches for the entertainment, I do miss the high-flying run-and-gun of Hartley's time.

1000x this.
But of course Brad/GG won't budge. Bennett has to be a center in this league, no ifs ands or buts.
They're intent on a fantasy that may not ever come to fruition. If this weren't the 4th overall, highly touted center with all the tools and yadda yadda, then he'd have been moved to the wing by now because that's what's best for a guy that can't yet anchor his own line in the NHL.

On pace for what... 0 pts and 130-something PIM? Maybe he can be our new goon.

Smith, again, is a nice silver lining, but I hope we can take advantage of his great play to do something this season.

Calgary also had a couple misses and unlucky bounces on almost sure goals though. Jagr and Frolik for example.

Zero scoring threat when the bottom two lines are on the ice. Bennett useless again. Not that the Flames or anyone cares, but I'm not watching or going to another game until Jankowski is on this team. Enough's enough.

I'm not sure if you've noticed it yet but I don't think the Flames have won a game after having 3-4 days off at least that's what I've noticed the last couple years.

Gotta give credit to the Canes. Thought they played a very organized game and really didn't give the Flames much. Sometimes, you get outplayed as opposed to playing horribly and tonight was one of those nights.
It's one loss in October. Nothing more, nothing less. Move on.

Be careful. I think Bennett's 10 dads post on here and they dont like any posts critiquing Bennett.
He's still young and will be better than RNH and don't forget the 1in1000 story of Backlund. He is pretty much the next Backlund. Only 8 more years to wait. Have some patience.

I never was much of a fan of GG, but after last years playoff push, I held my tongue. Then I wondered again once we were swept handily... And Im still wondering if hes the guy to get the best out of this group.
It could be growing pains, but he sure sends out odd personnel in high pressure moments... The forwards creativity seems to be heavily lacking, and our "elite" D gives up a butt-ton of shots... I know, theres substantial variables, but I see a bit of a coaching and/or leadership issue here.
