In fairness to the Flames, Carolina is looking like a damn good team this year. Their D is top five in the league and their young forwards are delivering the goods. Aho, Skinner, Lindholm, Rask are really good young players.

While i feel that is accurate aren't we in a position where people should be saying that about the flames? Arguably a better D core and good young forwards. I haven't been able to watch because I'm at work but they sound very un good

Or better yet, let's see Johnny play 3rd line centre.

I really like Backlund as a player and a person. To me, if Backlund is Bennett's ceiling then I am disappointed. I never expected Bennett to be a Mcdavid level player but I expect more offensively from him compared to Backlund

In the end, we're only down one, and all it takes is 2 shots to be winning.
Optimism!

Just saying that Carolina is no push over anymore. They're legit.

I'm cheering for Bennett to take that next step and become an impact player, but man is he ever struggling. I'm also sick of reading about gifting him linemates. Garland and Versteeg are completely capable players.

Edmonton had 51 shots against these guys so no excuse to not be able to generate something

It'd be nice if we could use that old stretch pass if we're not going to do anything else.

Nice no call on the goalie interference there.

They are not getting bounces. It looked like the puck was going to leave the zone, gets caught up in skates then boom. In the net

Bad clearing. Brouwer did a good job and the D screwed it up.
