It would also be nice if you stemmed your tide of unrelenting criticism of the players you do not like. Pointing out every single mistake Bennett, or Brouwer, or Stajan makes is just tiresome to read. We're watching the game too, we know they stink.

Team has gotten zero third or fourth line scoring this year. That's gotta change.

So far this team is very Jeckyll and Hyde this season. They either look really good, or they're a big black hole of suck. There doesn't seem to be an in between with these guys. Smith is the obvious MVP so far, and has covered up a lot of the warts. Hopefully they can find some consistency over the next few games, and stop taking so many dumbass penalties.

If the league needs an example of incredibly inconsistent officiating, watch the Williams penalty. The ref watches Backlund get hit and isn’t calling it. The moment backlund retaliates the hand goes up indicating a backlund penalty. Williams has his gloves off which was a penalty to Tkachuk last year...
So Backlund on retaliation and Williams on unsportsmanlike is what is being called. Refs get together and just decide whatever they feel works at the point. It is a clip like that the refs should have to explain how they are calling one thing and completely change their minds.

Monahan has been ok. Saw a couple of plays die on his stick but he also had a couple of good looks. I'd like to see him control the play more especially when team is trailing.

One shot and they're back in it though.

This team seems to have trouble scoring goals. A few offensive outbursts but then shutout in others.

I am ready to see Bennett fully move to the wing with Janko

It was about as bad a period as you can play and the Flames are only down one. Just need to reset and score the next goal.
