Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks - 8:00 PM MDT
The question marks after last night's head-shaker are voluminous.
A further question that leads from those is this:
What decisions will Gulatzan make in response? Who's out, who's in, and on what line, and who's in goal?
How will the team react to that game? Will they shake it off and move on, or are we going to see some residual effects.
Most importantly:
Have they reached the stage of being able to say, "*#*#@ you Jobu!!!! I do it myself!!"
Discuss.

Discipline was a major issue last night. You're not gonna win many games in this league playing short-handed for half the game. If they can stay out of the box and tighten things up defensively, they should be able to beat the Canucks easily.

Would be good to see Bennett's name on the score sheet tonight, in some place other than PIM.

Plenty to be concerned about tonight. Potential line up changes could see a D pairing together for the first time this season (Kulak & Stone) in front of a backup playing his first game this season. Gulutzan likes to make line up changes and certainly will on a back to back. Jagr out? Lazar out? Glass in? Hamilton in? Hoping for the best.

Last night was a Friday the 13th all of us want to forget, Our Hero included. Recognizing the need to switch scenery, he seeks to make tonight a Nightmare on Griffiths Way:
Go Flames

Im in the minority i guess but ive like bennett play. However if a move to wing helps him produce and this team im all for it. Get the best players on the ice in roles they can succeed in

Flames hopefully get the win tonight but like Gulutzan said they have a lot of work to do to clean up their game. I assume Lack is in so Smith won't be able to steal this one. Wth no games for 4 days after this it will be a good chance for the team to get some good practices in.

because of those 4 days off, I'm thinking we see Smith again tonight. It's weird having a real #1 goalie.

IMO this is a fairly important early game. This team needs to have a better divisional record this season and if they consider themselves a contender for the division they have to beat teams like the Canucks. I think getting spanked last night should bring out a more focused team. I’m worried if Lack starts and I would have rather start him against a non-divisional opponent.

put the old lines back together, Lazar on the first line was a failed experiment.

Hope Kulak is in; it would be nice to have a blue liner that isn't a liability on the 3rd pair. Also hope Gulutzan fixes the PK. Stajan-Brouwer is NOT working Gully. Try:
Backlund-Frolik
Bennett-Brouwer/Lazar/Hamilton
Stajan-Hamilton/Lazar
instead.

Back-to-back, with travel, on the road, after losing big, and against a young hungry division rival? Scheduled loss if I've ever seen one.
Let's see what happens.

Flames lose this one and this place gets really ugly between tonight and next Thursday despite there being, you know, 75 games left.

Lack should play. Motivation against his former team and it's a back to back so the decision should be simple. Smith has played great but needs a rest. Smith has had a few close calls being injured. He got smoked in the mask by a wicked shot, almost was badly cut, and had his right arm get jammed. Hopefully will be a good game tonight as Calgary should destroy a Canucks team picked to be league bottom dwellers.
