I would hope that he can make something of this opportunity. I get that 1st line RW is probably going to be a rotation throughout the season but it would be nice for some of these players to at least click for a good run of games like Ferland did near the end of last season.

Unfortunately there are a half dozen posters or so who do not appreciate Bennett, Ferland or Lazar. These 3 players are extremely valuable to this team both now and in the future (more so Ferland and Bennett, but I believe Lazar to if given a fair chance). Do not underestimate the value of having Ferland on a line with Gaudreau as with him on the ice Gaudreau can do his thing. Having said that Ferland can add value to any line with his speed, toughness and hard shot. Bennett is a very valuable member of this team and his scoring will come on as the season progresses. This is the right lineup until we bring up Jankowski and when we do IMO we will have the best lineup since the late 80s.

Monahan and Gaudreau have rotated lines a bunch this season within games. They haven't even consistently played with each other so far. Well see how many shifts Gaudreau-Monahan-Lazar play together. Good opportunity for Lazar to stick it to his old club and prove he belongs in the lineup full time

Well technically,
One Mikael, one Micheal and three Michaels.
Although, Smith is just a Mike (according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_S...key,_born_1982))

Sounds like Boucher will go with 11 forwards and seven defencemen again but no final decision. Oduya won't play. Will tomorrow. #Sens

If Smith plays tonight he better play again tomorrow night. Not letting those crappy Canucks off the hook!

Yeah, especially since I'll be at the game with a Jagr mullet on. I don't want to go watch Lack crumble. A win would be nice.

Love Lazar on that first line. He's better suited for it than Ferland, IMO.

It would be pretty sweet if Lazar finds chemistry and sticks on the top line and scores 20+ goals. Make Treliving look even smarter.

Do you know a good mullet guy? I want to wear one too for my first home game.
I don't want some cheap ass looking thing.

I can't see Smith or Jagr at this point playing both games in a back to back.

Going to be weird seeing #6 Wideman on the ice.
I wonder if he gets a penalty.

It's beautiful.
Lets compare this with the lineup from 2014, including defense and goaltending:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Glencross - Backlund - Byron
Bouma - Colborne - Raymond
Bollig - Stajan - McGrattan
Giordano - Brodie
Russell - Wideman
Smid - Engelland
Hiller
Ramo
What a difference.
