I appreciate how hard GG emphasizes that this isn't really an acceptable level of play. I can't wait to see what this team can do when they're actually playing to their potential.

Brouwer wasn't terrible tonight, but he still shouldn't be out there on the powerplay. There are a half dozen guys on the bench that would contibute more to the PP than him.

Don't mean to be a buzz kill but we are brutal in our own end. This start is all Smith. Giving up 40+ shots every game is horrendous. This D does not look top end right now. At all. Hopefully they get it together quick. Smith cannot sustain this level. No one can.

Tkachuk is awesome.
LA sucks.
Doughty is a baby.

The Tkachuk/Quick scrum was great for several reasons.
Bennett jumping in, grabbing Shore, and flipping him down to the ice is a big one. #### yeah.

Yeah I don't know what it is, but hearing the coach call the play of his team (besides goaltending) lackluster and similar to their start last year gets me very excited for when things start to gel. I really thought the team played well in Anaheim and outplayed them the majority of the game. Tonight I thought LA outplayed us a little more but we capitalized with a strong 1st period.

Here's the shot of the Flames bench reacting in OT from the Kings broadcast:

PS I figure when Monahan hits 10 OT goals, I'll put them all in a video together.

Haha, I love how Stajan reacted like it's just a regular thing, and I guess it kind of is since Monahan scores all the OT goals.

In three years, who's the best LW on this team?
It's not guaranteed to be Gaudreau.

Well I watch SEL since well, I live in Sweden. And the defense you see from the bottom feeders are better.
GG seems to agree as well. They played like ####, and as much as I loved the win I am frustrated to see such a lack of simple hockey defense.

Jets may do Ferland, Hamonic and Gaudreau for Wheeler. It helps out their defence, they get a rugged winger and a set-up man for Laine. We get Wheeler.

Well, made it to work, and it's so much easier to be tired when they win and I get to read such a great PGT!
Loved all the goal clips, and the OT goal celebration. I ran out of thanks long ago.... but this was my favourite part of the ATL:
