Brouwer definitely looks like he belongs on that 4th line. He actually wasn't his usual terrible self tonight.

The Oilers are really lucky the Flames weren't ready to go in game one...they could really be in panic mode right now

Apart from the one crazy pass to centre from behind the goal, Brouwer was actually decent

Most complete game Flames have played in a long time.
Almost everyone was on board tonight. Finally the curse is over!

Mmmmmno.
Stealing a stick mid game is far cry from stealing the game puck from the best player in the game like an infant. Tkachuk is awesome. Bieksa is an #######.

Bolded is my interpretation.

A bit later on, you'll find the prophecy for whose fulfilment we have waited so long:
Quote:
Then the archangel Michael spake unto us, saying, I saw the Flames and the Ducks meet in battle upon the field of Honda. And the Flames knew the Ducks, and the Ducks were with child, and lo! they laid an egg, and great was the roundness thereof.
|
By the way, I was incommunicado the other night, but you can thank me for my small part in the Jets game. Walked into a hotel bar for a drink, the score was 3-1 Jets. Flames scored five goals while I was nursing my beer. I then left, and they did not score again.
You're welcome.

I think I took care of that by having Korean barbecue with the S.O. tonight.

Yeah, would definitely feel a lot better with Bartowski as the #6 than Kulak right now. Hopefully Bartowski can keep it up, because his physical play is much needed by the Flames.

The Flames last won at the Honda Centre on January 19, 2004. That's 13 years, 9 months, six days ago.
There are at least 53 stars within 13.9 light years of Earth. At least 53 stars have seen the light emanated by our sun on that day between victories.
Futility on a cosmic scale is at an end.

What Bieksa was doing was the definition of Unsportsmanlike Conduct. Pretty sad that the Referee has to come in and get the puck.
