Didn't hear Boomer this morning but if he is now questioning Jagr signing with the Flames after a summer of begging the team to sign him including bugging the GM about it that kind of pisses me off.

I think he's questioning it in the sense that Jagr doesn't sound like he's ready to go (and possibly not soon either).
So from that perspective, if he's not going to be in game shape, why did we bother.
My counter argument is even if he doesn't play many games (or at all), having him around at practice, in the locker room, etc, can only help our young guys.
Plus it's Jaromir Freaking Jagr in a Flames jersey, c'mon!

That doesn't mean he won't be ready at game 10, game 40, game 70. If that's the way it goes, it could mean we get a fresher Jagr during playoffs. I'd say that's pretty valuable.
It's not like he can't get there. He didn't say he did nothing, he was skating and practicing on his own, his concern was he didn't practice in a team setting, so perhaps the intensity or challenge wasn't as high. There's tons of time and we're prepared to skate with what we have until he can go so Boomer can go stuff it. Really dumb after he fanboyed hard earlier in the week.

So interesting watching Jagr clarify drills, positioning with Bennett and Versteeg. Always some type of wisdom to impart, it seems.

I dont blame him. From the moment that joke of an organization fluked into that player we saw this coming. Its a brutal reality but we have to figure a way to deal with it. Hopefully it drives and motivates the Flames as an organization even harder to keep up and prevail.
Flames fans dealt with Edmonton having Wayne Gretzky in his prime - not only a record-smashing superstar, but the first (and still only) NHL player to make an impression on American pop culture. I think we'll survive McDavid.

Thank god, these kids need a Mr. Miyagi something fierce.
