				 Troy "Transgressions" Brouwer

As someone who was tired of seeing posts about him on every thread, and recommended, here is the thread for it.

It is beyond tiresome. Seriously. Start a "transgressions" thread and leave it there.

Wouldn't even be a top 6 winger on the Heat
Too bad cause he seems like a cool dude but he really sucks at hockey

The only time he is of use is when he's flailing helplessly headfirst into the post. What a horrible hockey player, contract aside.

He wasn't this horrible at start of last year so I will hold out some hope that game 1 is not going to be representative of his play this year.
What is disappointing though is that it seems Treliving allowed one good playoff run to tempt him to overpay for a past his prime grinder.

My issue with brouwer isn't even that he's been a terrible signing and does nothing that he was advertised to do, but that he's keeping Janko out of the lineup. That annoys the hell out of me and really should be fixed ASAP

I think the Flames should be able to put him on LTIR for a puck allergy. As soon as the puck hits his stick he gets rid of it as quick as possible. I think the puck gives him hives.

Brouwer seems like he's a genuinely good guy, which makes it even more of a shame that he just isn't very effective in the lineup. I'd be happy with him if he made about $3 million less for 1 more year.

There was a play last night, where he broke in over the blue line and dumped it hastily onto the stick of an Oiler...
I noticed his facial expression, and he looked absolutely terrified...

Yeah and to be fair his stats have gone off a cliff as well. So he's been a disappointment on all accounts. He needs a bounce-back season to show that last year was an anomaly, but the Flames have moved on. So, to do so, he'll have to wait for injury, or force his way up the depth chart by excelling in a limited role.

I'll be the first to admit my wrongness on Brouwer.
Plain and simple, we did not get the guy that St Louis had. I knew we overpaid but still thought it'd be a worthwhile addition to the team. I applauded the signing, even put his name on the back of a blank jersey I had. Boy, did I ever get robbed.

I still hold on to a shred of hope he goes back to being himself, but even I cheered inside with that recent trade rumour
