In all seriousness he looks to be giving pointers on how to protect the puck, which is a very welcome sight. I was thrilled to see how much better Bennett was at this in the pre-season, but felt he did not do good enough of a job at it last night.
I think this has been in the cards for awhile to get Bennett someone he can play with to teach him how to get to the next level. I think they know Bennett has all the skill but needs someone to help him harness it. We have seen that Bennett can score when he is doing things all by himself but if he can learn to play with a guy like Jagr he might break out in a big way.

If that’s the impact it has on us watching it happen, Imagine how Bennett must feel.
I was trying to think of a really good metaphor, but the best I could come up with is it is like Jaromir Jagr showing up to give you hockey pointers.
I loved the intensity that Bennett was paying attention. Maybe I'm just projecting but it looked like he was soaking it all up and taking everything to heart.

Since about two weeks into Bennett's rookie season I have thought nothing else but "Sam Bennett will succeed Giordano as the next captain of the Calgary Flames". He is our most driven player.
