Yeah and I don't reckon we need it until the investigation is complete, because if he didn't act alone there is a serious #### storm brewing somewhere. I would rather information be kept out of the public if it could jeopardize the investigation.

Las Vegas killer had more explosives, 1,600 rounds of ammo in car
Stephen Paddock didn't just have 23 weapons in his Mandalay Bay hotel suite, which he turned into a sniper's nest to kill 58 Las Vegas concertgoers.
He also had more than 50 pounds of explosives and 1,600 rounds of ammunition in his car in the hotel parking lot, police said.
Investigators now believe Paddock intended to survive the massacre, Las Vegas police Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Wednesday.
"He was doing everything possible to see how he could escape," Lombardo said, declining to detail specifics.
Of the explosives found in Paddock's car, authorities first found several pounds of ammonium nitrate, Lombardo said.
He said a later search of cases found in the car revealed 50 pounds of Tannerite -- a brand-name product that's marketed as explosive rifle targets.
"Those explosives, that's the scary part. What was he going to do with those? I mean, you don't just acquire them and leave them in your vehicle and not have a plan for them," said Roderick, former assistant director of the US Marshals Service.
"The Tannerite could have set off the ammonium nitrate," Roderick said. "So, was he using that as a vehicle-borne explosive device?"

It drives me crazy that you can create a pharmacy system that allows you to look up people that are abusing prescriptions.
But there's not a red flag linked system that says, hey this guy is buying an arsenal and thousands of rounds to go with it.

I also read in the NYT that he made a noise complaint about the room below him the night before all this went down. Like, what kind of sociopathic psycho makes a noise complaint the night before he guns down a bunch of people?

this isn't the first time that Tannerite has come up in this kind of story.

Well from what I recall, US firearms dealers are required to maintain a manifest of weapons sold and that manifest is actually property of the ATF and must be provided upon their request. So, they knew it could have known, but it’s not illegal in the US to buy multiple AR-15s.

Interesting. Before these reports came out, I had heard yesterday from someone who knows someone who was at the concert that they said there was more than one shooter. I dismissed that notion at first as I would suspect there would be more news on that but now it could be legit. Scary stuff if true.

Investigating if he acted alone doesn't mean there was a second shooter, that's a bit of a leap.
I read somewhere that once people were in the Tropicana, everyone started to panic and run because they thought there was a shooter there as well.

For sure I agree. I am not saying that was indeed the case. When people are scrambling for their lives they could easily make that mistake.

I'm starting to see facebook feeds claiming its all a lame stream media/guberment cover up, although so far they don't seem to have any idea what or why its a cover up, just that clearly its a cover up, I weep for humanities future, we clearly deserve to wipe ourselves out with global warming

I wonder why he stopped shooting after 15 mins?
It sounds like police arrived outside his door after 15 mins, but didn't breech for another 45 mins as they didn't hear any more gunfire.

He had camera's set up to monitor the hall, and if reports are true he could have been looking for a way to escape alive.

Because he shot himself before the police had a chance to.

I bought advil cold and sinus in San Fran 7 years ago and my name got put into a database because apparently you can use it to make meth. This way if I buy a lot they can track me down and arrest me?
But someone buys 33 guns in a year and no one knows or bothers to check....that is completely ####ed.

I remember during 9/11 after the second plane hit that there were all kinds of rumors of planes heading towards Vancouver and Toronto for example.
In a situation like this information is scarce and one person's rumor or speculation quickly becomes a short term fact.

To be fair, on Monday morning I was watching live on either CNN or MSNBC and they interviewed this young couple whom both still had blood all over them and hadnt yet slept.
They were ADAMANT there was a second shooter as the way they described things as they tried to escape, there would be no other explanation of where they were seeing people who had been shot.
I chaulk it up to being hysterical during an absolutely terrifying and chaotic event, and certainly understand why their perception was what it was even though there is no evidence of it. Doesn't make them crazy and i guarantee you they both still have lingering doubt as to the single shooter explanation.

My friend was there (not at the festival, but outside Mandalay Bay), and him and his buddy swear up & down that there was muzzle fire coming from two separate floors. I don't really know what to think, as he is NOT a conspiracy theorits by any stretch.
