Because it gave me something to do yesterday, it appeared as if the shortest (not cheapest) flights from Prague to Calgary connected in the usual hubs like Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Heathrow...and from there direct to Calgary.

Why?
Prague ---> London ---> Calgary
Prague ---> Amsterdam ---> Calgary
Prague ---> Frankfurt ---> Calgary
Why stop in Toronto or in US? That would be 2 layovers minimum.
or the only 2 options that I wouldn't take if I was flying from Prague to Calgary:
Prague ---> Montreal ---> Calgary
Prague ---> New York ---> Calgary

:roll eyes:
Stop being silly. He's taking a submarine to Halifax and walking the rest of the way. He should be here in time for the playoffs.

Maybe it's just me.... but I find it kinda creepy whenever player's flights are tracked. Seems a wee bit obsessive, no? The Gaudreau / Boston College one was particularly cringe-worthy here.

As a Broncos fan, you should have seen the Peyton Manning free agency saga. Was insane

We've seen a lot of "Jagr has been around so long" posts in this thread. Well, here's another one...
Jagr has been around so long that he was playing in the NHL the last time the Flames won a game in Anaheim.

Why? There's multiple carriers that would fly direct to Calgary via Frankfurt or Amsterdam from Prague.

Geez people, just fly to Czechia yourselves (you'll have time, he's not supposed to be here tomorrow), go outside his house, follow him to the airport,take note of his flight, then post it here.
It's not rocket science.

Taking a while to get to 5000

This seems like something the Traveling Jagrs would be on top of.

It's been some time since we got the confirmation, but I just looked at the update on Tkachuk in my fantasy app where he talks about Jagr and legit got a tear in my eye when I read the "2nd all time points leader behind only Wayne Gretzky."
The amazingeness of this still hasn't worn off for me.

Yes, when Jagr played his first NHL game, Winnipeg and Minnesota still had their original teams (Pittsburgh defeated the North Stars for his first Stanley Cup). Also, Quebec and Hartford still had their teams.
The following teams did not exist yet... - San Jose
- Ottawa
- Tampa Bay
- Anaheim
- Florida
- Nashville
- Columbus
- Minnesota (Wild)
- Atlanta/Winnipeg
- Vegas
- Colorado
- Arizona
- Dallas
- Carolina
Nearly half the teams in the NHL didn't exist in their current cities when Jagr's career began.
When Jagr played his first NHL game, the Saddledome was the newest NHL arena.

He's waiting for a bigger freeze than Monday so that he can train for Saturday's home opener by skating across.

Jagr never wore that particular Capitals jersey either. Only wore the white version of the eagle. Jersey Foul!

Only 3 teams have had a player on thier roster with more career points:
NY Rangers
St Louis
LA Kings
The Oilers are more than 200 points behind in that category.

I'm guessing he is in game playing form because he was supposed to play for a Czech team last weekend until he had NHL interest

Kladno form and NHL form could be two different things. I expect Jagr will need 4-5 games at least to get up to his NHL form. I wouldn't expect magic out of the gate.
