Hopefully not just sending Jankowski to the AHL either.

Everyone keeps saying Hathaway didn't show anything but I thought he was pretty good in Winnipeg and he was the one who jumped Trouba after the dirty hit. Not sure why he seems to get no credit for that since it seems to be part of the appeal of Glass.

I'd be quite happy to lose Lazar, Stajan and Brouwer.

Brouwer and Stajan gone for me makes sense - to give up on Lazar now wouldn’t be very Treliving like and I still think Curtis has a lot to give.

Kind of shocking people are done with Lazar after a mediocre camp. Kid is still only 22 and was clearly brought in as a project. One training camp wasn't going to completely rebuild him

also, in the 4 regular season games he played last year he had 3 points. Even if they were end of the season games, they're still more important than pre-season games.

Yea it’s puzzling to me that people are so ready/willing to cut ties with Lazar here already. Give him this season and if he’s mediocre then I could get it but as mentioned he still is only 22 as mentioned - lots of room to grow his game back to where it was and beyond

I suppose it shouldn't be surprising. People have turned on Bennett, Hamilton, Monahan and Gaudreau in the last 12 months.

It's either instant success, or instant bust for a lot of folks around here. They can't comprehend anything in-between.

I don't know, if the best we can muster is to say he looked "pretty good" in one game and got involved once after a dirty hit, that's probably an indication his camp wasn't great. Players like Hathway should be good the entire time, not just show glimpses, he's a bubble player, he should be hitting on all cylinders in camp.

Hathaway is still Flames property, and injuries will happen. He will get his shot, and there is no harm in starting a vet and having a prospect take his job later on. At least you know the vet will do certain things correctly on the ice, whereas you aren't sure how the prospect will react early on in the season. A good start is crucial for this club.

Bull ####, for the vast majority people have NOT turned against Gaudreau, Monohan and Hamilton, however Bennet he deserves it, he's shown nothing and his contract reflects as such.

Lazar has shown less then Benntet so why the optimisim? Rose Colored GLASSES. RCG

One of Stajan/Brouwer has to go at this point.

Janks has earned the right to slot in and with the top 9 in place, that's probably on the 4th line.

Where did I say vast majority?

Anyways, your opinion of Bennett effectively proves my point - so, it's all good.

I think a Lazar-Jankowski-Brouwer 4th line makes the most sense at this point.

That should be a rather effective 4th line.

Glass had a good camp, did what he had to do.

However he shouldn't have a lot of leverage, so why not go with a two way with a higher salary for the AHL and keep some options open.

If that happens I'm fine with it.

I loved watching Glass - Jankowski - Lazar in that game against Arizona. Cycle Glass in/out depending on the opponent, but Jankowski + Lazar on the 4th line could be a huge benefit for the team this year.

Sometimes players playig well are less noticable than players playing ostentatiously but bad.

Glass was noticable but I think people are confusing that with a positive contribution. And yes he completed some passes and finished a fine Dube assist. But overall nothing about what he showed in camp suggests he will be part of a very good, high-functioning 4th line. Last year Ferland-Stajan-Chiasson was a VERY good 4h line.
