True, usually those guys go after the specific people that they felt wronged them though. Like their supervisors and co-workers at the post office.

Going to random places like theatres, elementary schools, or just the street has usually been the domain of the young, angry-at-the-world male.

Honest question, what does him being rich have anything to do with this? I don't see how him having money makes a difference to his mind set of killing several dozen random people.

Don't think the financials of other mass shooters has been discussed and for the life of me can't see how that matters or makes a difference. Do mass shooters kill because they're poor or middle class?

The owner of a Utah gun store says the Las Vegas shooter visited the store several times this year and bought a shotgun after passing a federal gun background check.

Dixie GunWorx owner Chris Michel says Stephen Craig Paddock said that he was new to the area and was visiting local gun shops. Paddock bought the shotgun in February and last visited the store in St. George, Utah, in the spring. It's a 40-minute drive from where Paddock lived in Mesquite, Nevada.

Michel says he chatted with Paddock to get to know him and make sure there were no signs that he should not be allowed to buy a gun. Michel says: "There were no red flags." He added: "I had no idea he would be capable of this."

Some of the stories coming out about the victims are just heartbreaking.

Your point is invalid. Although you probably celebrated when you heard he was white
I dont celebrate tragic shootings of innocent human beings. You probably were disappointed when he was announced to be a white male with no ties to religion or politics.

Usually these shooters have few of their own accomplishments, they're low status males who resent the world and their place in it. Obviously rich and poor alike are capable of heinous acts but generally someone successful like this guy was have more reasons to like their lives.

It is mind boggling that one individual can cause this much pain and suffering. No question.

they have not really touched on this a lot but most of those injured were not likely shot, but injured during the chaos to get away. Many were trampled.

Meh to me being successful means more than making money.

If you're rich and despise your life and have no friends, are you really successful? ( not saying this guy hated his life or it was the reason for this crime) but money is only a very small part of being happy and successful.

I honestly don't see any difference in the reactions here. This act is getting lots of attention and being universally condemned.

I find the leftists who want to exploit these situations to change the "media" almost as bad as the warmongers/racists who exploit the situation when a Muslim actually does commit one of these acts.

They're opposite sides of the same coin, quite sickening really.

Rich people can also get help if they start feeling like they have mental problems.

Haven't read any reports about him being mentally unstable, this seemed to come completely out of nowhere. Doesn't even sound like he was such a huge loner. Had a girlfriend, kept in touch with his family, went on cruises, had hobbies...

The father of the gunman (Stephen Paddock) behind the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history robbed a string of banks in Arizona, escaped prison in Texas and tried to start a new life as the manager of a bingo parlor in Oregon, according to historical newspaper articles.

Yeah, making money is just one aspect of being successful at life. These mass shooters usually have basically none of the traits most of us would consider being successful though. You mentioned friends, but other things like female companionship, and having a purpose/skill are what these guys lack, and that's part of the reason they go beserk so early in their lives. The fact that this guy was into his 60's and had at least some of these things (strong financials, a woman in his life) is what makes this case strange.
