I think putting Jagr on a retro might be the only exception to that rule for me.

I think that would be pretty cool. I think the faux-pas really comes into play when wearing the jersey of a team that a player never actually played for.

			I say: who cares.
Wear what you want. Jersey snobs dont get to dictate how you enjoy your life. Get it and wear it proud.

Whilst this is technically a faux pas, for some reason it doesn't feel like one. I'd go for it, and tell anyone who complains to shove it.

If the Flames happen to wear their retros even once this year, you're 100% in the clear. If not, by definition it's a faux pas, but I think someone like Jagr transcends the rule. Hell, that was our actual uniform when he came into the league.
 I say do it.

I've been waiting for this with a blank retro all summer. I don't care what anyone thinks I'm absolutley doing this. Wish I wasn't in Ontario now though, only used jersey city in the past and always been happy.

There are a bunch of jersey fouls I'm on board with, tucking them in, putting 69 with some stupid slogan (or any other attempt at humour), putting your own name if you're over the age of 16.
However, the idea that the name/# has to match the exact jersey seems kinda silly to me. Stupid even. I see no reason jerseys for Flames players need to be era specific. It is one of the few times Forever a Flame isn't lame. You play in one jersey, you have the right to wear any Flames jersey forever (except Tom Erixon, he sucks).

Plus, it isn't my fault the Flames can't get their #### together and make a proper jersey.

I've even heard people complain about jersey fouls with Pittsburgh Lemieux jerseys based on the current Pens jersey. Eff that. Why would I want some ill fitting vintage jersey that feels like it is made out of cheap paper towel? The new jerseys have pretty much the exact same design but look and feel way better.

Well, I may go and get Jagr put on my western third. I think that may be the only way to even somewhat salvage it.

You could put Jagr on a football jersey and it would still be awesome.
 Ok, maybe not.

Can't see the Flames pulling out RBK retro's when Adidas just gave the NHL tons of cash to only wear Adidas and not to have any 3rd jerseys this year
