Damnit, with the timing of the 3rd jerseys being cancelled, we won't see Jagr in the classic retro reds. That's still the only jersey I would buy though so I'm in for a group buy if that can be arragned.

There is a Retro Night on Feb 3, 2018 against Chicago, maybe the retro 3rd will make an one-night-only appearance?
Says Jagr chose the Flames over the Blues...due to the Flames having had talks on going (not just driven by injury necessity like St. Louis) and the GG connection.
Pierre likes the deal at the contract terms and thinks Calgary fans are going to love Jagr.

That was quick. I'm guessing they didn't have many left to begin with.
I'm also guessing that 100% of them are going to be Jagr jerseys.
They do have other player's retro 3rd available in Medium and Large (Monahan, Gaudreau, etc.). If the owners are smart they should make Jagr instead and put them for sale online. It's not like the crestings were already stitched on right now... I think the owner just didn't have time to update the website yet.

Neat point by Pavel Barta on Jagr. Circle closes; Jagr played 1st game with Czechoslovak national team vs Flames 11 Sep '89 in Prague, 4-1.

Aeneas better start dusting the guest bedroom, Calgaryboy may be scheduling a visit!
No doubt. I am sure Calgaryboy will be planning to fly over this year for sure now.
I know he has a Rome holiday planned as well as Croatia this year...but Jagr.

Another interesting sidenote - Jagr was the first Eastern European hockey player allowed to legally move to the NHL after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

With all the excitement of the preseason, it completely slipped my mind that a Calgary Flame will set the record for the most ever games played in the NHL this season.
I calculated it out that it will be a home game vs Vegas on Jan 30th that the record will be broken. The game before in Edmonton will be when he ties. This is assuming that Jagr plays each game. I gambled and got tickets to the Vegas game a couple weeks ago, hoping in my heart he would sign .
This will likely be the biggest NHL record we ever see broken for the rest of our lives. Safe to say Gretzky's offensive record will never be touched. But all time games played? We'll likely never see this broken for as long as we live.
Already super pumped for that game! (assuming Jagr plays all games until then)
