I think he would be great to keep Gillies up facing NHL shots during practices, get 20 starts, watching and learning from Smith, but I agree he is Stockton bound.

So with the impending Jagr addition, and assuming that Andersson is sent down, this likely means that Glass did not receive a contract?
Just thankful that Gazdic was sent down.

That's too bad. I hope he has a fantastic season in Stockton playing on the top pair with Kylington. Next year, I would expect both guys to make the team.
Now, the question is who will be the #6 dman.. Kulak or Bartkowski?

I look at that name specifically and think theres a trade brewing, not with Hamilton involved specifically, but take away glass and they still have a jam.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Versteeg-Bennett-Jagr
Remaining players:
Jankowski
Lazar
Hamilton
Stajan
Brouwer
Thats one too many unless they send Jankowki down simply because of waiver status. Which would be an atrocity IMO with how he has outplayed any of those remaining players by a fair margin.

So Freddie Hamilton beats out Hathaway. A mild surprise, based on my expectations coming into camp.
Kulak and Bartkowski as the 6 and 7 defensemen. With all the resources Flames have put into their top 5, this should be of minor importance.

That will give you 14 forwards, 7 dman and 2 goalies. The roster limit is at 23 right? so, maybe that is the way the Flames start the season.

Would rather have Hathaway over glass but I'm not too shaken about it. I know he outplayed him in the preseason but I really liked what I saw from Hathaway last season
