This is amazing!
As a fan I am beyond happy with this decision, I do wish it happened a little sooner to get him in during some pre season action but whatever. Just imagine how excited the players must be! The chance to play along side the great Jaromir Jagr.. Wow

My life goal just became getting a signed Flames Jagr jersey.
I feel like a 12 year old right now.

Flames skate today at 11 a.m., final rosters are due Tuesday. I'd tease the obvious Jagr-sized rumours somewhere in there...but I won't.

Same!
I'm totally camping out after a game to meet him and get an autograph. I'll be a giddy adult child hahha.

I was dead set against signing an over the hill player, but I have to admit, I'm excited to see Jagr in a Flames jersey. Not sure how it will pan out, but it will make for an interesting season. Now, are the Traveling Jagrs still considered "traveling"?

As awesome as signing a legend would be, the other side of the coin is that this is only happening because nobody stepped up on the right side.

I don't think there's particularly much pressure on Jagr to perform, which will make this signing a helluva lot better. The fact that Sam knows he's got a legend on his wing who WILL perform and contribute will have him exude confidence. Knowing you're not pulling Brouwer along every game will give you that alone.

Or 19,289 traveling Jagr wigs.

I am beyond excited! This is a great thing for so many reasons, let alone the cost!
Well done, Brad!

Meh, I guess. No one stepping up on the 3rd line right wing isn't a huge deal. It was really Brouwer or Lazar and they dropped the ball. Other third line options like Jankowski, Bennett and Versteeg all had great preseasons.

So sweet. Hopefully missing camp won't affect him since he's a pro who's played so many systems (I think getting to skip camp was a major reason for his delay in signing anywhere).
