I saw them out on the ice together but didn't really recognize what was going on... Who was center for Jankowski-Bennett-Versteeg? Jankowski or Bennett?

I think they'll start the season with the lines they were to start today's game. However, if things don't go well for that 3rd line early, there's options available that the coaching staff are willing to explore.

He played pretty well tonight for what that's worth.

But it certainly doesn't make up for all of last season. Let's see if there's any rebound this year.

lol wut? The only thing Bennett needs to do is dress and play, center wing whatever have the talented kid in the line up. It's a three line league, have Jankowski and Bennett both in the top 9 instead of one in the bottom because of some fabricated "need".

He did play well, and can continue to do so. On the 4th line.

Even when he's playing better than he has been, he's still a black hole on the 3rd line where plays go to die.

Gully said putting Janko with Bennett and Versteeg was a plan before the game started to "get as many looks as we could".

Said the players have tomorrow off and they'll meet tomorrow to talk about getting down to the set roster number. Has to be done by Tues.

Having Bennett as a producing centre is ideal but he and Jankowski need good (offensive) players to play with. Jankowski has great attributes for playing down the middle as well. How to resolve this?
