Default What are you expecting for the first 10 games of the season?

I'm going to say they pick it up and don't do as bad as we think. I'll say a somewhat slow/sluggish start with rocky special teams and a 6-4 start.
I'm praying for the Anaheim win but not feeling too good about that right now, so I will guess a loss there.

Gaudreau leads with 7 points and Janko with 4 pts in first 10.

I think it'll be bumpy, but not too bumpy. If we can grab 7 wins out of 12 that's a successful October in my books.

The actual results in preseason don't mean much - but I'm not seeing many inspired performances from individuals either. I'm hoping it's because they really aren't interested in giving it all but they just look like they'll stumble out of the gate yet again.

3-7. Playing catch up... again....

I don't think they will have a winning record at the end of October. I hope they do, but the last dozen years or more suggests that Calgary NEVER gets off to a good start. 4-6 is my guess.

I am thinking 5-5.

I would expect a little bit of an adjustment period for the second pairing and the goalies, but I see no good reason to think that they will not win in Anaheim on the 9th.

The only thing I know is we'll lose the opening game against Edmonton, because well that's just how we roll. I'm just hoping it's not a blow out.

I kind of have a feeling we'll win the Anaheim game though.

I'm an eternal optimist that they'll be .500 after 10 games.

From what I have watched though, 3-7 would be more likely because they are playing like an overconfident bunch right now without actually doing anything properly to win games. It doesn't just turn on when the games matter. You'd think they'd learn, especially after this past season.

Instead we get the same story. I wouldn't be surprised if instead of being a favourite for the division, that they limp into a playoff spot and have to face a tough opponent (Anaheim/Edmonton) instead of an easier one.

This is simply not true. The Flames started 2014 with a sparkling 7-3-2 record. That was a mere three seasons ago.

9-0-1. Book it.

But honestly, I'll be happy if we win our first game of the season. Seems like Flames always lose the first game. I don't want a repeat of what happened playing E=NG last year.

They were decent out of the gate in 14/15 which was a great season and were amazing in 09/10 which was a season that ended horribly.
