Realistically? Right there with Lazar and co as one of too many 4RW options who should play no higher than that.

It’s sad cause I like Stajan as a person and even as a player but it’s the truth.

Exactly. Or Jagr in and Jankowski out.
Either way, it's not happening.

Report: Jagr to play for Kladno this weekend
Jaromir Jagr has spent the summer skating with Kladno HC in his hometown and has previously stated he's willing to start the season with the Czech club as he waits for an NHL offer.
A spokesperson for the Kladno Knights told Czech news outlet Hokej Jagr is expected to make his 2017 game debut with Kladno on Saturday, but noted the situation could change.

Jaromir Jagr is expected to skate for Kladno of the second-tier Czech league (so-called first league, as compared to Extraleague) this weekend. The team will play HC Zubr Přerov.
Pavel Patera, a former Jagr linemate in their younger years, will coach him. Jagr has been practicing with the team, Patera said, but nothing can compare to game situations. Jagr apparently said he would rather not skate on either of the two first lines, but Patera said he’s got another thing coming: he’s starting with the first line.

I'm sure Jagr have been given offers, most likely one by the Flames. I don't think he would really want to play in Calgary so the offer would have to be good. The problem is that the Flames can really only give him a $2 million max deal, because after adding Kulak, Jankowski, 14th forward, and some decent ELC bonus cushion that's all that's left.

Sounds like the Blues are considering Jagr to replace Fabbri this season:
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
At Fabbri media conference, STL GM Doug Armstrong says team has discussed the possibility of signing Jaromir Jagr

After the last fake rumor by that Jeromer guy, I kind of moved past the whole idea. Don't think there is much interest on either side.
At this point it's probably only realistic to hope he can retire with a one day contract with the Flames when he decides he's done.

Fake news. There's no kaiju in St. Louis. Why would they need a Jagr there?

Iginla was linked to the Blues earlier in the summer too. Can't remember if it was an Eklund article though.

"He's a great player," Armstrong said. "Certainly, we've talked internally about him as well as a number of players. But we're really going to have to dig deep into how our style of play is and what type of players can come in and complement our style."
In other words, Jagr is too slow

The definitive ranking of the NHL’s top 23 right-wingers over three seasons
7. Jaromir Jagr
Difficulty Matrix: 1.14/1.25
Offence: 38.37/60 | Transition: 20.64/25 | Defence: 8.02/15
Total: 67.03/100
Doubt the old man at your peril, because at 44 years old last year Jagr was still on the edge of being elite. The knock on him is that he’s slow, which is true, but that lack of speed doesn’t seem to hinder him because his hockey sense is nearly unparalleled.
Jagr remains one of the best generators of on-ice goals at even strength in the NHL, transitions the puck more effectively than almost any winger in the game, and dumps the puck less than any other right-winger. Jagr’s ability to protect the puck and complete a smart play makes his linemates better, and he was almost the sole reason the Panthers weren’t completely in the tank while most of their star players suffered injuries last year. He’s incredible, and some team needs to sign him right now.

Dear God yes. This team needs offense. Jagr > Brouwer, Frolik, F. Hamilton, and maybe even Ferland.

The team needs offensive depth, especially on the right side. Jagr is perfect for the team's needs.
