I'd like to think Jankowski being left out of the lineup is a reward. Congratulations you have earned the prize of not having to visit Winnipeg.

Versteeg Bennett Brouwer was a line that was tried early on before Tkachuk found his spot with 3M. It was actually our most reliable scoring line very early on.
I think it gets lost in the tumble because it happened during that awful 5-10-1 start but they were sure great fantasy value then, haha.

..then they hit a wall and I threw Brouwer on waivers so I could pick up Tkachuk. Oh well, hopefully they can find that success again and sustain it this time, especially with Versteeg having some established chemistry with Samwise the Beard.

It gets lost because it isn't really true.

Game 1: Brouwer, but SHG
Game 2: Versteeg had an assist but Bennett and Brouwer not on the ice for goal (Stajan line, Jokipakka scored)
Game 3: Brouwer unassisted (Vancouver scored on own net)
Game 4: No points for line
Game 5: Brouwer unassisted. Good play by line.
Game 6: Line legitimately had two goals
Game 7: Line split up

They produced for two games. Looks like more because Brouwer scored twice, but it didn't involve the line (and in one case didn't involve Brouwer much either).

Compared to the other lines in that crappy start, they were still probably the most consistent in their play.

All bubble guys except for Tkachuk and Monahan who have seen limited time. Big game for these players.

Good to see Monahan and Tkachuk are ready to play. I wouldn't expect a lot from them though, given they are working their way into game speed and not wanting to risk reinjury against the Jets.
Huge game for everyone except those two guys and Stone.

Probably the best place for him. He did everything he needed to do and then some in this came and a year dominating in junior will see him ready to make a bigger push next season.

I think he would be a serviceable fourth liner and PKer right now. That may be where he starts as soon as next year. He's going to be a good middle sixer in the long run.

I could see him getting an emergency 5 game callup like Baertschi did.

They had Dube lining up besides the Cramarossa / Gazdic / Glass' of the world and he consistently thrived. I almost think that they didn't expect him to be as good as he was. He has something that our team is desperately missing. Blistering speed. And it comes along in a package with grit/heart/creativity and skill. He'll be on the roster next season.

Possibly but he could still use a bit more size and strength. I think this was the best call for him.

Could be a replacement for Versteeg next season. Would have to battle with Klimchuk and Mangiapane for a 3rd and 4th line LW spot.

He has speed and goes like a madman. I'll be shocked if he isn't in the NHL by 21 and 20 wouldn't surprise me at all.

Dube ended up 9th. I think he should definitely be higher than Foo and you could argue he could be as high as 3rd. Not saying I would put him that high, but you could argue that and not look foolish. |
