Can we kick the Jets out of the league again just for their use of TSN? It pisses me off I can't watch a Flames game because they are playing the Jets.

Not in this game. I would think the coaches want to see Jankowski centring his own line against NHL competition. The Jets are barely an NHL team, but it is still a big test.

The Jets could be using Al Jazeera as their regional broadcasters and it would make little difference to us.

This game isn't being shown in our region because the Flames have zero interest in broadcasting preseason games. The only time they air any is when another Sportsnet team (Oilers or Canucks) are already airing it, then they'll piggyback on top of that. Every other team besides ours airs preseason games no problem.

The Calgary Flames can't even stream games online without a plethora of issues so I don't think any of this will be fixed soon.

I was able to use gamecenter to get a few games this preseason. The only flames game I've gotten so far was the flames vs canucks though.

If the game is being televised by any network tv it will be on GCL, I have watched a bunch of pre-season games on there already. Tonights game will certainly be available because TSN is broadcasting it.

But why?

Poirier and the flames (big Ern) have worked really hard to save the person and the player.

You don't just do this after all that has happened.

They didn't do it to Ferland and they won't do it to Poirier.

nothing would make me happier than Poirier earning a spot. I'm very happy that he's been getting help and good on the Flames and Big Ern to help him like they have. That said, he still has to earn it. The other players are working hard too and you can't gift a player a spot because of his backstory when another youngster deserves it more based on performances.

That line should be interesting to watch. Hoping Foo can put up a solid game.

Tkachuk-Monahan-Foo will skate as a line tonight. Should have the rest of the lines/pairings for tonight shortly. #Flames

Excited to see how Foo looks with 2 highly skilled players, don't really see him as a guy who will thrive in a 4th line role.

But Poirier has not had the opportunity to perform in pre-season like the other bubble players because he was nursing a small injury after the first game. Before he left the ice in practice last week reports from practices were all glowing. I think he has earned a little latitude already, and expect that he will be among the final cuts on his own merit.
