In general, there's been a few solid shifts, especially by some individuals, but the overall performance has been relatively crap yet again...
I get that it's preseason but it's preseason for both teams each night, and it's a few years now where the flames are consistently meh for the preseason that are followed by a slow start to the regular season.
Curious how management handle the latter half of preseason to change things up this year.

Who's decision was it to send the 2017 Canucks roster over to promote the game in China? You'd think they would want some good players there.

Just this period since I tuned in he made 3-4 terrible passes. The first half of last game he didn't do anything that I noticed, besides a few giveaways. Rest of the game is foggy.
Yes yes I know it's preseason, and no I'm not freaking out, and no I don't have some personal vendetta against Janko or Feaster. I just have yet to see what the fuss is about. Hope I'm proven wrong.

As far as I can tell you're confusing Barkowski with Jankowski.
You seem to be watching a small percentage of the game, seeing thing no one else is, then going with that small percent. I mean, he has two goals in two preseason games. That's not amazing or anything, but the fact you ignore it is weird.

The Canucks were very effective stifling the Flames breakouts. Turned them into a 3-1 and other rushes against.
Only seemed like Andersson was good at the first pass in that period. Hopefully they make an adjustment.

Because this comment makes no sense. He's protecting the puck using his reach, making smart plays and has 2 goals (and a couple posts) in 2 pre-season games.
Odd take.

I guess I haven't seen it yet but will continue to watch more closely to be proven wrong.

I feel that Bartkowski is making Kulak look a lot worse than he is, so not writing the latter off just yet.
Kylington and Välimäki I think would benefit so much from more time in the lower leagues that I don't see a point in trying to graduate them just yet.
Andersson should have a really good chance of making the cut.

Weird, cause it seems hard to miss. A 6'5 centre winning face-offs, controlling the play with two goals.
Virtually everyone else has mentioned him as a standout in both games.

I didn't see his goal today but last game was pretty much a tap in on a great play by Dube. Yes that's great and give him credit for that. I'm just saying that people are talking about him being a top 6C in the NHL and I haven't seen much of that yet.

I'd say one out of four was on him. That said, he has seemed a bit shaky and gave up some big rebounds early.

1) Last game was everybody's first game of the season. It meant nothing and was a pure warmup. Now that everybody has had a game under their belt expectations rise. The longer preseason goes on the more you can judge veterans.
2) Smith and Brouwer aren't fighting for spots. Kulak and Bartkowski are. Smith and Brouwer have nothing to prove in preseason. Kulak and Bartkowski have everything to prove.

And the other prospect in net I really like. Parons is going to have fun in the ECHL this year.

Still high on kylington but agree, if you put him in an NHL game this season it would be massacre. He may be a Brodie type player who excels more on the offensive side than the defensive as compared to Brodie.

Okay, did anyone else actually forget completely that Backlund was even playing?
