Last game he didn't stand out in a good way. He bobbled the puck and looked out of place a few times. Still, I think that he faced some of the more talented Oilers that game. Take from that what you will, I don't think that his performance was indicative of the player that he is.

Why? Jankowski was drafted as a kid with top two line centre potential. He evolved into a top line centre in college. Was a top line centre last year in the minors. He's had 5 years of development so he isn't being rushed, now's the time for him to fulfill his promise. He's showed top two line centre skills in development camps, in the prospect tournament and now in preseason.
It's very realistic to think he'll be a top two line player when he adjust to the NHL so before the end of this year. No need to pump the brakes, there's nothing unrealistic at all about the suggestion that he'll be a top two line NHLer.

At the game. From the stands I really noticed Dube, Jankowski, Lomberg. The D have all been solid. Rasmussen especially.

One of those lines has two guys that have popped 30 goals, flanked by another who many (you) think can get 20-25. That's the unequivocal number one line.
