I'm wondering if these pairings mean they are trying some of the defencemen on their wrong sides to see how they adapt? I think Kylington was playing on the right side last game.

As a Canucks fan, I USED to attend preseason because it was ridiculously cheap but now even I'm like... ehhh, I'm good.

I think that has to be a typo: Andersson and Kylington would both be on their weak side if this is correct.

I would not doubt that the league relaxed the preseason rules for the Canucks and Kings due to the bulk of their rosters playing in Shanghai.

Yes it could be but then this gives Anderrson or Kylington or Bartkowski a better chance at the 7th spot without consideration about what side they play.

Sure, but I would expect if this were the case then the coaches would not have all three of them playing their off-side at the same time—with two of them on the same pair.

Yup.

Glen Gulutzan has confirmed Jon Gillies and Tyler Parsons will split this evening's game. https://t.co/PlQ0W8fSIO

Well it is an exhibition game against probably weak opposition. If it happens this could be a test more for Andersson then the other two as they probably have experience playing on their wrong sides, being skilled defencemen.

Safe to assume Andersson will be RD and Kylington LD. Only one dman will be playing on his off side whichever of Bartkowski or Kulak ends up on the RD.

It's likely just a person being casual with what order they list the players in.

Yeah sure. I just find such an experiment as an interesting possibility.

Nice. Would be helpful if this information was in the OP or thread title.

I like the lineup for this game and am interested to see how some of the younger guys do, the D pairings in particular. Oh, and the Jankowski/Mangiapane duo.

Better to do this now and make some cuts a bit earlier in the preseason. I`d like to see the vets and regular starters actually get their legs under them in time for the regular season this year.

Depending on the severity of the injury, it can take one to eight weeks for a hip flexor injury to heal. Minor injuries typically require one to three weeks of recovery time.

Yup, hip flexor injuries are the most annoying thing in the world. I pulled one in the first game of a soccer season, and it didn't heal fully until the start of the next season. Every week, it'd feel completely healed the day after the game, then a week later I'd re-injure it 10 minutes into a game and have to sit out. Definitely not one you want to force back into game action early.
