This is sig worthy.

SN would improve if 12 year olds ran it.

I'll take crushing them in the regular season over preseason and rookie tournaments.

If that's the sacrifice we must make to get the bugs out vs these losers then so be it.

Long way to go in both games though.

Guys. It's not a real broadcast. It's the saddledome feed with the SN960 audio over top. It's not synced - they're different broadcasts. It's not Sportsnet or Rogers or anything like that. It could be worse. It could simply not be available period.

Smith looked bad on both goals. Better just be nerves, because he needs to be way better than that.

For those losing their #### over a couple weak goals from Smith, need I remind you that, during last year's pre-season, Elliott was absolutely fantastic. He was calm, he was cool, he kept his position, he looked like Carey Price.

Then, 5 minutes into the regular season, it was over.

Pre-season means absolutely nothing, once the season starts.

Friendly reminder that it's preseason guys. Brian Elliott was lights out last year in preseason.

It's the first game of pre-season guys. Watch the young guys who are trying to impress, how a vet goalie is doing right now doesn't concern me.

On that note, so far both Valimaki and Mangiapane give me a boner. Jankowski isn't flashy, but very solid and reliable

On the other end, shots are 17-5 in Edmonton. Lack hasn't been bad, but has had no help at all. Stone scored on his own net, while Bennett (who has been easily the Flames' best skater) set up Poirier with a completely empty net with no one checking him and Poirier somehow managed to hit the far post.

It's not been a great period if you're a Flames fan.

Yikes, no one looked particularly good.
Who is 59 on the Flames though, they stood out for me a few times.
