I may not have all the information, but the information that you present paints a pretty clear picture. If that's not consistent with how you really feel about this topic, maybe take a second look at what you're actually putting down as your stances on this issue.

Take huge issue with the bolded. I've said dozens of times that both men are the wrong people to be heading this.

The difference comes from the reaction. Say King is an egomaniac and you get nods, say the same about Nenshi and you have to beat people off with a stick questioning your motives or biases.

And this is about men. You hire the wrong "face" for a negotiation you hurt your side and the process badly.

I suspect this ticket tax will be added to Revenue (for tax purpose and accounting purposes) and thus is Flames revenue. That fact that it is used to pay for the building does not matter, it is still revenue.

What a mess.
How can anyone on Calgary Puck still be on the Flames side after listening to this crap.
Now the Flames are paying for 120% of this project! it just keeps going up!

What I am gathering from this is that the owners want to get a deal done but this ass clown continues to threaten the fan base. KK has to be the most unlikable guy I have ever seen. The way he phrases things is terrible!!! Please for the love of god when this is all said and done the organization needs to turf this guy ASAP.

I'm an accountant, and my mind is blown after hearing Ken King's comments today. He's like a version of Donald Trump. He lives in his own financial reality. The spin he is putting on the contributions is ridiculous.

On top of that, he directly insulted City Council, and he directly insulted the people of Calgary by not once, but twice saying that there are better cities than Calgary available to make more money.

LMAO.

This type of verbage is hugely beneficial within the business community he normally deals with.

Straight out of his time at the herald.

As others have said previously in the thread, unless they cap ticket prices now, and the ticket tax comes out of their existing ticket prices, then its not their revenue from this negotiating perspective. The money is coming from the users.
