This Is Our Country
Does anybody else hate this stupid ****ing song and the pretentious Chevy commercial that plays it? Absolutely ridiculous. Apparently Chevy is responsible for Rosa Parks, Vietnam, Hurrican Katrina, etc. Stupid ass commercial.

I just think the lyrics are as bad as a K-fed rap. Pablum is how I would describe them.

No but honestly your right they're very trite, but cant expect much from a commerical, especially a Chevy commericial.

Ugh I can't stand it either! I don't know if any of you watch the NFL, but they play it every single commercial, sometimes even twice in the same commercial break!

His name is Gary Jules. Sounds a bit like David Gray and a few other UK pop artists, but he's from California.

I share your sentiments. It's just a little to thick a slice of apple pie for my tastes. But then again, I'm not the target market they're trying to reach. The apple pie appeal is probably a rather effective marketing ploy south of the 49th.

smart marketing these days, i mean this is a country where jeans commercials use CCR's 'fortunate son' in a patriotic vain!
in its entirety that's one of the least patriotic songs i've heard that was a huge hit.

Or even "Down the dixie highway back home"?
Terrible song. Mellencamp needs to go away.
