McCree should've been out of the game. The part that bothers me about it is that he had the nerve to celebrate a tackle for loss on Rudi Johnson a few minutes later in typical fashion. Classless.

Javon Walker scores again. Bye Raiders...I hope you enjoyed having the lead for 10 minutes.

I'm a Broncos fan...I hate the Raiders.
They will get public ridicule from me at every turn.

Todays games results can be summed up in a few words...
Bizarre, odd, strange, unbelievable, weird and unfathomable.

My Seahawks continue to do it with mirrors.
As soon as Wallace has step out behind Holmgren's first 3-5 scripted series, just like on Monday Night, he looks completely average. Not tall enough to see, sometimes throw, over the offensive line.
If not for an incredible, ill advised non fair catch on the 10 by Burelson to go 90yds, and then, the Rams penalty and good run back after they took the lead with under 2 mins, leading to another good 30 yd return to get to ball into the Rams half, the Seahawks wouldn't have been in this game at all...or the bizarre 4-1 call by the Rams in the 3rd which lost them 3 easy points.
Good while it lasts...but can't keep going to the well that often.
That said, glad it happened against the Rams....hopefully locks up the division now, at least the tie breaker.

Frustrating day for the Saints, Brees was incredible, but fumbles, Willie Parker, and a crap effort from the defence cost us. Oh well, thanks Cleveland, Falcons suck.

Pretty great Sunday night game going.
The Giants were dominating and then with about a minute to go in the second the Bears came out of hibernation.
Would be nice if Desmond Clark could score 3 more times so I could win my fantasy game.

Yeah that loss stings. Unfortunately for the Chiefs we caught Miami after their bye and after Saban got that defence back in form. Before the Fins bye week that team was in dissarray. Since it, they look like a team again. Chiefs only allowed 13, but didn't get the points on the board. 5-4, and a bad record against the AFC doesn't bode well for my poor Chiefs who look like they could be stuck in mediocrityville. Well 4 more home games and a roadie against the Radiers, maybe they can get to 10-6, but I don't know if that will be good enough.

I'm not sure its a huge blow.
All of the sudden Cincinnatti and Jacksonville look like they maybe staying home in January. I mean the Bengals have to go to New Orleans this week. They ain't winning that game. Talk is that Leftwich may be out for the year...and Garrard was horrible today at home against Houston.
Right now it's Jacksonville and the Jets that are with the Chiefs for the second wild card. Looking at schedules, the Chiefs doesn't look so bad. If they can win against Denver or San Diego and then take care of business in the rest of the games (games they should clearly win IMO) they might just do it.
Still, a win today and they would have been sitting pretty with a little more wiggle room.

Gotta love the parity in the NFL. There are no super-beastly teams. Even Indianapolis at 9-0 look average on some days. Denver with a horrible QB; Chicago with a young QB; New England relying heavily on rookies; San Diego constantly underachieving (though a great game today). The Eagles with the most unimpressive 24-point victory I've seen. The Super Bowl is wide open; any number of teams have a good chance.

My 49ers are 2nd in the NFC West, and a better record the the Steelers!
I know it isn't going to last, but there looks like there is hope for the future with Gore looking like the real thing and Smith showing some good skills. Things look more optomistic than since before Mooch was run out of town.

Colts just got by the Bills yesterday, but I was expecting a let down after playing two games with such high stakes on the road against Denver and NE. Not pretty, but finding a way to win those ugly games is a big thing. Sunday was filled with upsets and close games, the good teams found a way to win, ugly or not. Baltimore, Indy, Denver all found a way to pull one out, while NE, Jax, KC couldn't.

OK, I'll apologize for the gripe in advance....
<rant>If the networks want to improve viewership for prime-time football, then how about showing the game? I get really annoyed when they are showing the backs of the players on the bench, then cut to the game just in time to see someone tackled in the middle of the line. For the amount of actual action in a football game, there really needs to be more of an emphasis on showing all of it. And while I'm glad Jeff Gordon or Charles Barclay like NFL, I don't really enjoy the game more because they are in the booth for a few minutes. On the contrary, time is now spent talking about their sport/season/show/nipples instead of the play on the field - the actual reason I tuned in. None of the guests or pretty graphics are going to gain new viewers, but the missed plays and abundance of TV timeouts is costing them viewers. We come back from a commercial to hear that there was no challenge because it wasn't a challengeable call? WTF? Couldn't they have figured that out before we were paraded another commercial for psyllium fibre? I like to see the game. I'm no genius, but when the QB goes under centre with an empty backfield, I'm guessing he will pass. It is nice to be able to see the backfield and the shifts, and the motion, and how the defense responds. At least half of football is the cat and mouse game between the offense and defense, and you rarely get to see any of it on the broadcasts! Instead they are too busy showing stats like on Monday night games after a bye week in November when the game is outside and above 50% the home teams have a winning percentage. Just **** off.</rant>

ESPN got raped on Monday night football. Outside Tirico the other two in the booth don't impress me. Than factor in that they've had terrible games for the most part, and than all the other crap they've brought into the telecast. For years I didn't watch anything else but MNF on Monday night T.V. Now, I'm watching regular T.V on Monday night because MNF has sucked badly this year.

Chiefs announced today that Trent Green will start their game against the Faders this week.
Absolutely the right thing to do and it makes them a much more dynamic team offensively.
Clinton Portis out for the season...not that Washington was going anywhere.

With pro bowlers Bryan Waters and Tony Gonzalez out for that game, I'm not so sure that Trent will survive this one without getting that head tested again. The Raiders defence doesn't exactly suck. I'm just hoping the Chiefs get enough guys back to health on defence to win this one 3-0 on a Raider turnover in the red zone.
If you combined San Frans offence and Oaklands defence the Bay area would have a pretty good team.

Miami home to Minnesota.
This is a very winnable game for the fins. If they can pull it off they go to Detroit next week for the thanksgiving day classic, with a good chance at a win. That would put the team at 5-6. They could be right in the playoff race.
Lots of ifs that will be solved come next Thursday night.
