Fluke goal, nothing the goalie can do with that.

I personally don't see Rasmus as NHL ready. Foo and Janko look like they can definitely push for spots.

Flames are still napping. Horrible period so far. No one has done anything useful and the Jets are fully deserving of the lead..

Good situation for Foo/Dube/Vali/Rasmus to show their stuff and get this game back even.

Mark Rassell - Ben Hawerchuk - Hunter Smith are all struggling. It seems like they are trapped in their own zone every time they are on the ice.

Andersson gets shoved into goalie, gets penalty.

I haven't personally watched a second of this tournament since its inception. I eagerly anticipate reading player summaries on here instead

So, for those who have watched a lot of it, how are Jankowski, Andersson, Valimaki, and Foo comparing to Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennet, Tkachuk when they played in this tourney. By comparing, I mean, are they standing out against their peer group as much as, or more or less, than the other young guys who quickly became NHL regulars?

Interesting to look back at our prospects poll after seeing some of these kids again.

I'd move Valimaki ahead of Andersson. But other than that I think we pretty much nailed the top 10 fairly well. I was a bit skeptical about where we placed Foo and Dube and after seeing them some more I think they solidly deserve their top 10 spots.

Still not convinced about Phillips at #14, I've seen some upside but he's got a long ways to go in terms of adding strength and proving it against bigger, stronger pros. He certainly should be somewhere in that area but I think Klimchuk for example is a much safer bet to be an NHLer.

Did we overrate Mangiapane a touch? Did we underrate former first rounders Klimchuk and Poirier a touch? Should be interesting to continue to watch.

Jankowski was a stand out in his two games. Clearly driving play.

Foo has been a step down from Janko but he has still had an excellent tourney.

Andersson has been solid but I'll admit I haven't been watching him too closely.

Valimaki has been good, but I would consider that a win as he is only 18 and making positive contributions when he is on the ice.

Also I think McDonald has been good today. Has made some very solid saves so far.

what you guys think of phillips this tournament? Seems like he's too small and though he's definitely quick, just not as elusive enough to be effective given his size.

Janko has looked as 'standout' as any of those players in this tourney. Too bad we didn't get a third viewing.

Foo has been in similar territory, though mostly when in the offensive zone.

McDonald flew off into space but had a nice recovery while draped by a Jet.
