In the 5,000,000 times I've gleefully watched this clip, I never noticed Hamrlik rest his hand on Franzen and make it look like he's protecting him. But then he pushes him down again. Haha.

Best FU moment from that series is Langkow getting some revenge on Lebda for a dangerous low-bridge / clip.

Out skate your slugs, take away McDavid's space, watch Draisaitl do nothing, drink beer, laugh at the Oilers Window slamming shut on their knuckles. you know . . . stuff.

He earned that one.

I guess you could argue that it was within the rules... but you don't do that with that much time left in a 4-1 game. Especially after someone dumps it in. Could have rode him into the boards just as effectively.

Clearly did it to hurt Lankow with how he seemed to have no regard for his own body... thought he broke his own left ankle jamming it into the boards.

Definitely an earned uppercut.

Then let an old guy weigh in. I've been following the Flames since they came to town, and was a Habs fan for years before that (much to the disgust of my old man, who was all for the Leafs). I've never worn skinny jeans, and I say you're full of crap.

Ive never understood older guys making fun of younger guys for wearing skinny jeans. From what Ive seen the 60s-80s produced the tightest male clothing since sodom and gemorrah.

I've never understood anyone making fun of anything someone else wears.

I'm probably an equally old guy with much the same history, although I remember wearing tight bell bottom jeans in the 60s and I say you're full of crap.

By my definitions, any pair of jeans that hoboes can live under is not tight.

For anyone that can't remember skin tight jeans in the 70s, I have two words for you: Sergio Valente.

I remember skin-tight jeans in the 70s. I just refused to wear them, because I was not an idiot.

I don't think you know what bell bottom pants looked like. They were tight to the knee and than flared out.

This has to be one of the most twilight zone'd threads in recent memory. Taking a "jagr/Iginla" thread and turning it into a right pants of different era comparison. Way out there man!
