I've made my feelings on preseason clear, but some things can be analyzed irrespective of how hard the other team is playing or how vanilla their gameplan is. And it's abundantly clear that Mahomes has some insane arm talent. Too soon to put him in the Aaron Rodgers talent level, but he might have that kind of pure arm talent. Whether he actually supplants Smith this year, who knows, but this is likely the end for Alex in KC.

Of course the biggest thing Mahomes has going for him is the Bills and Browns passed on him. Avoiding that kiss of death is always key.

He's looked pretty good today.

If their D could do anything in the first half I think they would be up 10.

You never panic after the opening game of the season but man that Pats defense is putrid tonight. Some will talk about their injuries but they were getting torched in the first half before the injuries. Alex Smith has had a long career so you know you are having a bad night when he has his best career game by a mile.

LOL I hate the Chiefs but there's something satisfying about seeing a team put up 535 yards against the Patriots. They keep making injury excuses but the entire defense is getting beat badly.

Not gonna lie, after finding out how big of Trumpers that Brady, Bill, and Kraft are, combined with hearing non-stop how vaunted their defense is, kind of enjoying watching a 42 spot get hung up on them at home.
