Jagr would be awesome on the Flames and would make your 3rd line a lot better. Give that man his money!

I remember vividly, Dave Lowry floating around on the ice while on all fours, taking out Gilmour by the knees...

I remembered it as Gilmour running into Lowry's ass. I might be wrong.

One would have to think that if the flames were to sign him to a one year deal that if they were out of the playoffs by the trade deadline, presumably JJ would be somewhat easy to trade to,a contender

Just Googled it. It was Lowry skating backwards and Gilmour ran into him.

That's how I remember it.

What I really hope the Flames don't do:
Enter the season without adding any UFA wingers.
Waste prospects and/or picks on a rental.
The Flames will not be bonafide cup contenders. They shouldn't be wasting assets on rentals. Especially when they have already traded away all the picks.
Keep building, a make a huge push when it's truly time. When the Flames actually have an elite goalie.
I'd rather them sign Jagr for free, then waste prospects on a rental for a few months.
Since the Flames have cap space, they'll probably ending up doing one of these things.

Yah Lowry was skating backwards and Gilmour ran right into him. Complete accident.

King mullet here?
Edmunchuk would be so mad.
I would be so glad.
Can Brad pull off what could be argued is the best summer any G.M. has had for the flames in recent memory?

The one thing I say is it has to be for one year only.

That's pretty much a given and I wouldn't worry about it at all. Since Jagr's returned to the NHL he's had six different one year contracts.

It's interesting how he frames his monetary demands. He says money is a factor, but a big part of that is that he doesn't want to sign for so little that a team can feasibly take a roster spot away from him. I wonder if the hangup (in general, not necessarily just with Calgary) is that he wants a NMC.

I'm not usually a grammar stickler but this sentence infuriates me.
With that comma, and "Then" instead of "Than", that sentence means the exact opposite of the point you're trying to make.

He would battle for a spot. If he can't lock one down... Stockton would be my guess

I don't think Foo is making the big club anyways. Let's see how he performs in the AHL first, before thinking he's ready for a roster spot on the Flames.
