Boom. That was probably his best service game of the set. First four serves were firsts, and even the seconds right now are tough on Tsonga. I think Tsonga will get a better handle on it as time goes on, but Shapovalov isn't beating himself, as he tended to in Montreal even when he was winning. This is extremely impressive.

That was a great point punctuated with a Dikembe Mutombo finger wag by Tsonga lol

As others have said, he's fun to watch. Would love to see him pull this off, long ways to go though.

Man he's dropping bombs from the baseline. That backhand is such a sweet thing to watch.

See, I love that he goes for winners, but I wish he wouldn't do it on a second serve like he did there. Make Tsonga play shots on his serve, make it feel like a struggle just to get through those games, because he's going to do it to you quite a bit.

Denis is pumped, 129 MPH on that last serve.

Man, that was too bad. Four straight second serves should not be a hold at love without even having to hit any real shots. Bit of a missed opportunity to at least put some pressure on.

Double fault into another break! Incredible returning game there from Denis. No free serves, and lots of chances taken, but always to a purpose. Seriously, this is the best I've seen him play.

Good lord is this ever fun to watch.

Zverev is going to win a major and probably a few, but it's interesting to note that with his loss tonight he is now 13-14 in his career in five set matches. So far he's bordering on elite at the three set level, but he's got some work to do before he wins a major.

Absolutely. That was actually a pretty solid service game from Tsonga until the double fault, he was aggressive and hitting his forehand well. Denis just outplayed him.

Okay so this guy says "Shuhpohvuh-lahv". I say "Shah-paw-vah-lawv". I have also heard "Shah-puh-val-ahv". Which is actually right?

Shapo is amazing. If he gets past this match should have a pretty easy way into the quarters.
