Default What to tip for and how much - all inclusives

Staying in an all inclusive in Mexico for the first time in 10 years.
How much do you tip, and for what?
We've been putting down $5 After meals, but what about drinks? When someone is serving you by the pool? When you're ordering at the bar? Etc...

$5 at meals is more than enough. I'd usually leave a couple bucks in the room each morning for the maids, maybe leave more if it's messy

We like to find out what bar we'll be at the most and leave a nice tip early, because the rest of your trip they'll remember you and generally get some quick friendly service. If you're at the bar as much as us it pays off quick

After that a $1 or 2 every once in a while is appreciated. If you're friendly/patient and learn people's names you'll almost always have great service

7 days in Mexico + $300 in ones liberally applied = being treated like royalty.

I always give $20 the first few times I'm at the bar that I will frequent most often. Guarantees excellent service and top choice liquor.

After that I give a few bucks at the sit-down dinners (more if it is actually good) and a few bucks for the maids every morning. Last day I usually give the maid $20 or so, if the service has been good all week.
