Imagine if Obama had asked for the DoJ to stop the investigation into Clinton's emails while it was still going on. They wouldn't have been able to draw up the articles of impeachment fast enough.
Trump asks for the DoJ to stop an investigation into a political ally, Republicans will mumble generic phrases of concern that the president should focus on his agenda.

He also makes sure to endorse a book by racist dirtbag sheriff David Clarke, calling it "a great book by a great guy".

but some computer models are speculating it could drift back out into the Gulf of Mexico, reform and hit AGAIN later in the week. So we'll see.

this could get really bad if the models are correct. they are predicting double the amount of water in the next few days?
600-700 mm of water in parts of houston so far... so possibly 1200-1400 mm by wednesday/friday?
that's insane.
As katrina showed us, people will start out well behaved, but as their supplies run low, there is a chance things really go south...
this will be a major challenge for the Trump administration... he'd better hope that he didn't dismantle the "deep state" that he keeps railing about, as that's the only thing standing between him and a major catastrophe.
