Default Wideman Whereabouts

Has anyone heard anything in regards to Wideman, as in where in might conceivably end up if anywhere? Not trying to start a "dump on Wideman" thread, I'm legitimately curious.

He was a declining asset before the incident. Worthless after with the fallout. What team is going to take a chance on him being another step slower and the phantom penalties that might still follow him? Sorry to dump.

Probably planning on what he's going to do in his retirement.

He still has an active lawsuit filed against him, does he not?

I can't see many teams being interested. Even without the lawsuit, he'd be looking at a massive paycut. His actual salary last year was 6 mil. He'd probably get 2 years x 2.5 mil tops now, and I think that's optimistic.

picking out a Oilers jersey.

Once they realize that Sekera is a bigger loss then they thought, and they have no offense coming from the blueline, Old Gil . . . errr Wideman will get his shot.

The moon. The eclipse made him "accidentally" hit it on his way to the sun.

I'd hate that terrible salary

Wideman isn't even going to get a PTO. He's done unless he goes to Europe.

Between his decline in play and the Henderson fiasco I'd say we've seen the last of Dennis Wideman in the NHL. He had a good career outside of his last two years.
