Treliving is notoriously thorough and willing to work the phones, this could all be the result of:
"Hey Jagr, what are you looking for? $4M? (<-I made that number up) Okay, thanks."

I disagree. I love Iggy to death but I think this team is done with him. Not out of malice or not liking him or anything of that sort, I just dont think hes the kind of guy that you can bring back.
The expectations on the rest of the team would be unreal and the expectations on Iggy would be ludicrous. It would be a circus sideshow and neither Iggy nor the rest of the team deserve that.
Let sign him for one day to retire his number and put it in the rafters as he deserves. And thats it.

I *believe* he has connections in Philly. Why he continues to have a following beyond that market is beyond me considering he's wrong far more often than he's right, but kudos to him I guess.

My guess is that the Jagr rumour is very much tied to a move in the Bennett talks.
the bid/offer spread on what the Flames are offering and what Bennett wants has moved into a range that now has Treliving kicking tires on Jagr because it looks like there might be a financial fit.

That's part of it IIRC. He has or had a legit source with the Flyers but if memory serves he got his break during lockout #1 where he was pouring out rumors regarding the negotiations.

Been growing my hair out for quite a while, gf has began bugging me to get a haircut. If we sign jagr, I think I'll give in and get it cut for her... Into a mullet.

I think as a fanbase we can all start growing our hair out on the day of the (hopeful) signing, and by spring should have arena's worth of playoff mullets to intimidate the opposition with.

Go back to Edmonton. FFS, just, no.

For all the balding heads in Calgary, if Jagr signs, there will probably be a great business opportunity as a mullet maker!

If we can't do dumb silly things pertaining to a 45 year old Jagr being on the team, we may as well not even sign him.

Fake mullets at the game are borderline acceptable. Real mullets are hideous and remind me of Edmonton.

After Hamilton and Foo, it would cap off the ultimate smiting of Edmonton to poach not a frequent wearer of mullets, but the KING of mullets. It would likely crush the entire fanbase in a way never before witnessed in sport.
