The NY Post cover today is good, what the news should be.

Would you be so kind as to address the rest of his post and not skip over it?
It's one thing to have different opinions and level of debate but your posts genuinely distract from any of that happening because they have nothing to do with anything or at worst misleading and borderline made up.

I don't believe my posts are misleading. They may be sloppy and poorly made and if so I get called out for it.

It's a weird thing to get wound up about; it's not like anybody had to do a lot of digging to realize that it wasn't a NY Post front page.

No chaos whatsoever. Everything is fine.

Quote:
The relationship between President Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, has disintegrated to the point that they have not spoken to each other in weeks, and Mr. McConnell has privately expressed uncertainty that Mr. Trump will be able to salvage his administration after a series of summer crises.
What was once an uneasy governing alliance has curdled into a feud of mutual resentment and sometimes outright hostility, complicated by the position of Mr. McConnell’s wife, Elaine L. Chao, in Mr. Trump’s cabinet, according to more than a dozen people briefed on their imperiled partnership. Angry phone calls and private badmouthing have devolved into open conflict, with the president threatening to oppose Republican senators who cross him, and Mr. McConnell mobilizing to their defense.
|
Quote:
In a series of tweets this month, Mr. Trump criticized Mr. McConnell publicly, then berated him in a phone call that quickly devolved into a profane shouting match.
During the call, which Mr. Trump initiated on Aug. 9 from his New Jersey golf club, the president accused Mr. McConnell of bungling the health care issue. He was even more animated about what he intimated was the Senate leader’s refusal to protect him from investigations of Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to Republicans briefed on the conversation.

Probably because it's such a weird "confusion" that it's unbelievable to that it was accidental (so people then think it was on purpose, and then read into that).
Being honest, NY Post and Daily News have completely different cover styles, and, obviously, Daily News has "Daily News" in big letters and NY Post has "New York Post" in big letters. There is no believable way to confuse them unless you didn't even actually look (lending credibility to the Facebook repost/making stuff up comments). This isn't a picture of wolves we're talking about here.

Chill, Pepsi.
Girly's been around long enough to earn some good faith, and badgering people like that is not cool regardless.

Yes she has been here a while. Maybe you haven't noticed, but she unapologetically lies, misleads and misinforms constantly in this thread. The fact that she's posted here a while doesn't excuse dishonesty.

I'm very chill, I was just explaining to Wormius why her post was getting a reaction.
I certainly don't think any of my posts towards her would be considered badgering.

No, I don't see that constantly, and everybody makes mistakes sometimes. Let people back out with some dignity. Be better and move on.

Edit: ha ha, posted in the wrong thread. Reading more than one thread at once. Funnily though, I must have been swayed to post in this thread because real American politics have become equivalently far-fetched to dragons, white walkers and other fantasy stuff....

Girly may not be eloquent, and she may potentially make #### up (doubt she intends to though, likely accidental), and she may look to fuel debates that aren't really debates, but I have to say it's still better than what this thread has devolved into because at least she's trying to make it better than... what it is...
I'm not sure why but it seems as time goes on this site seems less and less capable of conjuring up debate and respectful discourse. There's sort of a wolf pack mentality, and then the likes of a guy like peter12 gets basically banned because posters can't seem to take a difference of opinion very well. Whoever posted that oatmeal comic a page or two back, that was well-played and I think desperately needed for many people on this site.
I'm a huge loser so I am frequently on this site and have read it for years pretty much daily. Gotta say that Sliver coming out and calling other people out on their posting style after the way he entered this community is preeeeetty rich. I find it highly ironic and amusing and I honestly really like Sliver, and think he's hilarious and seems like a decent person.
I get that impression with Girly, she doesn't strike me as a troll, I think she has a more innocent tone and tries to engage in debate or ask questions to trigger them even though it is likely she knows the answer, because the questions come across as daft. But then we get the same old crowd having a cry about it, or overreacting to it. It's too bad really.
