Denis wins! He held it together well in the tiebreak.

Got suite tickets to the women's semifinal on Saturday, hopefully I'll recognize the names.

She's basically Anna Kournikova V2. Was a good story for a year and has fizzled to a blip on the radar as far as the tour is concerned.

How about even bolder? Denis is the most likely man to win Canada's first singles major. Only thing he needs is physical maturity. Game is already pretty great.

Wow, that's not something you see every day. Mischa Zverev just double-faulted an entire game away, yes that's right, four consecutive double faults.

out on the recreational courts that's known as the Octofault. I've done it more than once, but never thought I'd see it at a Masters tournament.

We've seen Maria have like four or five in a game, but not in a row. And he's someone who rarely doubles too.

Nestor
Raonic
Battle for third
Doubles may not bring the glory singles does, but Nestor's career has been the type that only a small handful of people could even dream of.

Milos looking very shaky to start this match - Eight points have been played and Milos has lost all eight.

Absolutely horrid start for Raonic. He drops eight straight points and is down 0-2. Hitting nothing but forehands too. Wrist problems are real.

Milos gets back on serve then is quickly broken again. Just looks awkward as hell given his wrist. Double faults all over the place.

No aces for Milos in five service games - Of course, when you're hitting the middle of the service box, you're not going to get many aces.
/also, four doubles faults thus far in this first set.

And that's that - I'm going to give Milos a pass though because it's pretty clear that his wrist was bothering him (his backhand was just a puff shot all match long).

Why? His right wrist was fine and he had one ace. Considering 90% of his game is his serving he deserved to lose.

As much as tennis is a physical game, it's a mental game as well. It's pretty obvious that he was bothered by his wrist and that impacted other aspects of his game (including his serve and his forehand). He was constantly running around his backhand to try to hit as many forehands as he could and that puts you in a tough position as far as court coverage is concerned (and as we all know Milos is not the fleetest of foot).
