Oh right. You're new to football since jumping on the Real Madrid bandwagon.

This is negotiations, son.

Seriously, what are you even on about?

You apparently find the fact that you completely missed pretty obvious sarcasm hilarious.

Fair play. In the States, baseball does have a very comprehensive pyramid without promotion and relegation. However, it is it the norm or the exception?

There is a gap between the top flight and second divisions on the continent but promotion and relegation helps keep the lower tiers relevant. It helps avoid the development of an "all or nothing" mentality.

Yeah, have to agree. It was just a talking point really.

My knowledge of baseball's structure is a bit dangerous (Major/AAA/AA/A), but I believe there are parent clubs that dictate management/rosters of lowered tiered clubs; a dynamic not found in soccer in the rest of the world.

Very true, but hockey teams who own their AHL affiliates do that all the time.

This has got to be the greatest own goal of all time, even if it's a friendly

Neymar to PSG is indeed a go. Bloody hell.

I absolutely hate oil clubs too, but the whining and hypocrisy coming out of Barcelona and Spain is simply hilarious.

Well with the cash they'll get they can basically shoot for any player they want to replace him. Obviously nervous times now for Liverpool fans with Coutinho likely at the top of he list. As far as hating oil clubs I certainly get it, but better to be owned by an oil club than by a Kroenke who just hoards all the cash. At least the oil clubs will spend to win.

Stay away from Dybala please!

Unless we could buy Sanchez from Arsenal with those proceeds...

Neymar is a good player, but that is a ridiculous price. How they will be FFP compliant without wholesale selling off other players is beyond me.
This seems more like something out of Football Manager than real life, when you cheat and edit your team to have $1B...

Factoring in the fee, wages and bonuses, total cost to PSG will be nearly £450 million. Could buy a small country for that much.

They'll make up for in shirt sales, you'll see.

At the World Cup in Qatar every attendant and staff member will have to wear their mandatory £10,000 Neymar PSG Jersey.

So we all agree to be anti-PSG this year?

Monaco and Nice are in Champions League
Lyon, Bordeaux and Marseille and in Europa League

Seeing as virtually no one pays attention to Ligue 1, and given PSG's propensity for choking in UCL, there's little reason to be anti-PSG. It would be utterly hilarious though if Neymar suffered a career ending injury in his first game. £450 million for not even one game....whoops.

Someone should check on PSG's Sporting Director....I think he may have had a stroke.

The only way this makes sense is if some Sheikh somewhere thinks Neymar is 'pretty cool.'

This is like something the Kevin Lowe Oilers would do. "We're going Big Game hunting!!"
