Default Axl Rose at it again

Refuses to play a Maine concert because they will not allow him to drink on stage.

I personally couldn't care less if the guy drinks on stage or not, but punishing your fans because you can't do what you want is not the way to go about it.

How is Axl Rose being an immature selfish puke even newsworthy any more? I wish G 'n' R would just go away.

Gun's and Rose's went away a long time ago, but like a zombie it just refuses to lie down and stop breathing.

While Axl Rose will tell everyone that he was the reason for the bands early success, any fans of that band know that it was just a solid solid band filled with talented musician's. And the current, new version if its the same one that showed up at the MMVA a couple of years ago is a pale if not crappy comparison.

Axl Rose will finish this tour and take his botoxed face into the clouds of Rock and Roll jeopardy questions for $100.00

if you've heard any GNR since slash, duff etc. left then you may say that punishing the fans would be to actually perform...

Totally agreed, and who wants to see a guitar player with a KFC bucket on his head.

It is no way near the quality of the appetite for destruction days.

Oh I completely agree, GNR died when Slash and the others left. However if there is a market for all of the other "music" out there these days then there is one for Axl.

Velvet Revolver, on the other hand, is great IMO.

So no one here is familiar with Buckethead's solo material? He's only been putting out albums for the past 15 years. The guy is a frickin' virtuoso, the persona he's created along with the whole schtick is hilarious. I thought maybe all his appearances with Primus would have made him more familiar with the general public.

I couldn't care less about who looks stupid, or who acts like a bitch. It comes down to the songs, and the new GNR demos I've heard blow Velvet Revolver out of the water. No doubt that Slash and Duff are the cooler people, more down to earth and are great songwriters in their own right, but if that new GNR album ever comes out it will not only be better than Velvel Revolver, but sell twice as much.

I think I heard a new GNR song on the radio the other day. Does anyone know if they have a new single out to confirm this.

It's a little bit of both in this case. Axl being up ot his old tricks but also a Fire Marshall enforcing a law they have never ever enforced before...atleast not BEFORE a show. They've given citations a few times after the show but have never taken the steps to actually use the law to prevent a performer from drinking on stage to begin with.

But this isn't that much different from the countless performers who won't go on stage at clubs or arenas until their list of pre and post-show demands are met. Stupid things like the exact brand of water or the exact number of crackers on a plate.
