The Coronado Islander IPA is pretty good. Sweeter than I was expecting but really refreshing.

Gotta stop at Max Bell Wednesday so hopefully I can pop in again.

Agreed. But not in a Jihad style though. Too many at once has a negative effect. Anything that Google perceives as gaming the algorithm will get you penalized and it’s ridiculously hard to climb back out of the penalty box.

I stopped in today and loaded up on some kick ass Stout and Hefeweizens and I snuck in a Russian lager...... sneaky Russians.

Curious if you have any Icelandic beer, if you do I just want to make sure you have the actual good stuff, Iceland has very few genuinely good beer brands.

Also grats man, I wish you all the success on this venture, looks like a winner!

Me and Mrs. Puppet (and the Littlest Puppet) enjoyed our trip to your store, H&L. We're looking forward to sampling our purchases.

...that is if HE doesn't get into it first:

Spoiler!

I should also bump this! Stopped in last weekend and not only met the now famous Hack and Lube, but picked up a few beverages! Great shop and will be back for sure!

Stopped by this evening to take a look around. Good to meet you Hack&Lube!

Selection seemed decent and varied, but I'm not much of a beer person, so I couldn't tell ya the difference between all of them if I tried. Grabbed a few interesting looking ones, so we'll see how they taste.

Really like the ability to buy singles; having to buy packs probably the biggest barrier to my trying different drinks.

Do you currently stock Duchesse de Bourgogne?

Or does anyone know a place that does stock it?

Yeah, going to be in town this week, will definitely stop by and check things out. How are things going? Do I still need to walk around yelling Fata to get some attention?

Haha wow, I had totally forgot about this. Yeah, keep us updated Hack&Lube, would love to hear how things are going. Plus, it seemed this thread was bringing people in, might as well keep it fresh to new eyes.

Can we use this thread for beer recommendations? Looking to try out some different types of beer for Friday end of work day drinks. We had Rickards Red last time which I suppose is decent. Looking for a light amber ale maybe? Something with decent taste but not strong.

How about Yardsale from Tamarack (Lanny McDonald's brewery). Not as widely available in Calgary as it used to be, but I believe it can still be found- and hopefully at Beer Vault.

Otherwise, Fat Tire from New Belgium is fairly decent and very well distributed around Alberta.
